Cyberpunk 2077 – 10 Things Hardcore Players Hate About It

After years of fervent anticipation, millions around the world have finally jacked into Night City, and as you’d expect, there’s a lot to love in CD Projekt RED’s ambitious open world RPG.

No game is ever perfect though, and Cyberpunk 2077 certainly has its fair share of flaws as well- some minor, others… not so much. In this feature, we’ll be talking about the ten issues with Cyberpunk 2077 that players have brought up most often since its recent launch.

  1. I'm loving this game. It's a masterpiece. Best game I've ever played. There so much to do in this game that there's gonna be a few bugs. I can't comment on the older consoles as I'm playing on series X. It's not perfection by any means but if your an experienced gamer you know to expect a few bugs. That being said there is some problems. The gameplay is weird. I was forced to make decisions early that I did not want to make in my perks just to get through. I wasnt picking up any good handguns. I wanted to up those perks but with a complete shit pistol and a great rifle I put the points in assault rifle as that was all I had. I didn't find a good handgun until a couple hours in after Jackie's death. I had already spent 6 perk points in rifles? So my build is fucked…the blades and being stealth is complete BS. U can't kill people silently with it so what is its purpose?

  2. When I do a side quest on the street like a report assault or a NCPD mission, when I finish off all the “bad guys” there’s no or only small hints of completion and so I find myself having to check my journal to check I’m done. The indication of side quest completion on these missions needs some extra work.

  3. What the hell does anyone expect? You buy a next gen game at launch and play it on a last gen system …. Anyone remember how buggy skyrim was at launch?… Lol. Hell how buggy it STILL is?
I get if you don't like the game itself, but crying about glitches? I'm sorry, have you not played a video game in the last 10 years?

  5. 1. Upgrade from the “base” system and problem solved.
    2. Who the fuck is going in with fists? Barehand combat was never going to be great. Over 20 hours and I’ve yet to need to go barehand other than the boxing matches.
    3. Bullet sponges? Don’t make me laugh. Coming from The Division this is nothing.
    4. Inventory could use some revamping. You really don’t need to swap anything until you get out of blue gear range.
    5. That’s highly debatable. I love the world. Throw on some surround headphones and it’s legit with Dolby.
    6. Agree but not something that impacts the game play experience. Very minor gripe when you look at how many NPCs are in the world.
    7. Haven’t had to deal with the cops much so not a gripe.
    8. Seriously? That’s a gripe?

  6. Hardcore gamers, huh? This title implies a level of gatekeeping that I can't accept. I consider myself an experienced RPG player, and I consider this game to be on a higher level that most other RPGs I've played. There's also the consideration that the genre of RPG means so many things to do many people at this point that it has lost its own objective meaning. Everyone had their own expectations for what this game was going to be. I believe mine were actually reasonable, unlike most apparently.

  7. I was disappointed with the romance few options. plus it seems like it's one of those that once you complete the character Arc and you mean make love for the first time with that romance character that said there's nothing else left. I couldn't hug or even kiss my romance choice that I had. I couldn't really hang out with her or anyting I really hope that they changed this with an update or DLC. And I also very very hope that they also released DLC that would kind of pick up after the endgame a little bit to continue with the Romantic partner that you chose with or continue the story with the partner of what they chose to leave or go after together heheh

  8. Appearance was a heavy focus because they want you to use photo mode. This was common knowledge.

Also, Ray Tracing allows for you to see reflections in PC, and will likely be in the PS5 and XSX versions

  9. I have no regrets, and this is me saying this while playing on base PS4. Expectation and hype or not, at the end of the day it's if you're having fun or not that matters, and i am. The game is at the least better than a lot of other games i have also paid $60 for, with the very likely possibility of getting better, because of fixes that we know is already starting to happen. Just keep it chill and have fun.

  10. Great video! Everyone is focusing on performance which can be fixed, but these complaints are about gameplay mechanics that really ruins the fun factor of the game and should be addressed also.

  11. For filmmaker perspetive, the problem with first person rpg is, there's no proper cinematic cutscene, and I love cinematic cutscene when it comes to game. the wide angle, the close up of our character emotion, etc. The cinematic cutscene which one of the good part of witcher 3 sidequest or even main quest has gone in cyberpunk. I really prefer the cinematic cutscene compare to the first person cutscene, the first person cutscene really bring the immersion to the game, but there's no emotion that can't match up cinematic cutscene, seriously compare the official cinematic trailer of cyberpunk 2077 from E3 2019 to how the game offer in prologue after certain character die.

  12. You mean, 10 things they hate about it, after finding out they were deliberately lied to by CDPR? And that they buried the truth? Their betrayal of such a loyal fan base, is unforgivable. They lied and shafted them

  13. Got an Xbox one myself and pre ordered since last Christmas, now that it’s out I do not regret it despite its bugs and frame rate drops, crashes as well. Faith that CDPR live to their reputation

  14. I believe once CD Projekt has dealt with last gen consoles performance issues and the major bugs in general, I think we can all look forward to see some of these shortcomings and odd features to be "upgraded" later down the road.
    QOL suggestions.
I look forward where a more dynamic 3rd person system is implemented that would allow you to enjoy your created characters appearance and clothing.
+ special cut scenes would be in the 3rd person
+ major conversations would switch to looking at your character 3rd person
+ certain hack abilities zooms out for an out of body perspective for the more esoteric experience
+ melee combat or shooting combat could implement a 3rd person view when using a n cover to cover system.
+ and perhaps a semi 1st/3rd person view where the camera closer behind the player just above the shoulders but with a wide angle view.

The menu system is a bit janky I noticed early on, and their could be better integration of message/email and calls.
e.g. "ride jobs" could have the pictures of the vehicles as part of the jobs instead of having to go to the messages to see them.

when using the d-pad to make calls or send for your vehicle why not just have a tap for a vehicle you have preselected before hand, and or holding the D-Pad shows a horizontal strip of vehicles you have and tap right until you reach the vehicle you want and the same for calls where a vertical strip appears for contacts. – This would make for a more real time experience instead of the game pausing and seeing a menu that appears in the middle of the screen.

smaller things I noticed like, where can you change the system from imperial to metric? AM/PM to 24 hour? and zooming in/out the mini map? – this actually helps when you are speeding down roads and a turn off point direction comes up to late as you have already zoomed passed it.
