Ever since I watched ur cyberpunk analysis video I decided to also turn my hud off, and wow I like it so much better without just constantly staring at a waypoint on a minimap and I do end up wandering around more than usual, and yeah there’s clearly not many like free roam activities or things to explore, everything in rhis game comes from some type of mission or quest or gig, there’s just nothing to do or see really in free roam – besides maybe finding some cool loot
Is it even an open-world game? As far I saw from your playthrough, it's just a mission after mission with occasional roaming through the streets.
On a side note, ads are pretty terrible in this game, in a visual sense. They have same structure of what we have irl now, the only difference is clothes/cyberware. Thee don't look like it's something only designers from year 2077 could come up with. And it breaks the immersion for me. On the other hand, neon signs are fine here.
It's kind of funny how you still think this game is way more sophisticated than it actually is xD The line with "Maybe it will be important in a side mission later in the game" – won't happen, this game is absolutely basic. It has brilliant character animation and is almost like a CGI movie at times, but gameplay wise it offers nothing. You should do some side-side mission, because the side missions are categorized into two different types. The main side missions, which are 3, with 3 important characters you know already. And then there are side-side missions which are actually just jokes, stretched to the length of a side mission. Some of them may contain some information about the world and the people but most are just jokes. And you never ever have to think in this game.
Navigating without HUD was impossible for me btw. but maybe thats on me?
