CD Projekt Red has been the victim of a targeted cyberattack, in which hackers claim to have stolen internal documents and the source code for Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher 3, and more.

After being hacked, CDPR publicly released the ransom note on Twitter after being given a 48 hour deadline to respond to the threat which included releasing files from an unreleased version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

  1. One thing to know about videogames is that any game can be made to run on just about any hardware with enough optimization and work. I bet the witcher 3 could even run on a ps2 if you cleaned up the code even more and cranked the resolution to 240.

  2. Guys think positive, We can mod the games without limit now because we know how they work under the hood, fix the game and meme on the coding errors. I think that CP2077 will be a modding milestone like Skyrim and in 2030 maybe it will be alive with an active nexus community.

  4. Requires pretty high-skilled netrunners to pull off a gig like this. CDPR has latest corpo-level ICE on their subnets, and they have fried more than just a few gonks. I'll check if any fixers have leads on this, although my hunch is already on the Voodoo Boys.
