About decals, if you're the type of person who would write your name on a wall with bullets or leave a bloody mess – keep that number low xD It's probably already being used throughout the map for dirt and to add variety to objects, but I'd still keep that setting low.
Great video. You forgot to mention the MASSIVE fps boost from turning on DLSS. On the 'quality' setting, the visual impact was almost imperceptible but my fps went from 80 to 100. Definitely worth turning on in most cases.
Thank you to everyone commenting down here getting the discussion going on these settings. This video is popping off and I'm glad it can help a load of you out. Be sure to subscribe for more videos coming soon! 🙂👍
you have 3070? and your running on medium and low and your at 1920×1080? I have a rx 5600 xt and play at 1080p on the overall high preset and get 55-60fps 95% of the time. Are you just trying to get really high framerate? Because your PC could easily hit 60fps on higher settings than what you have.
dlss is good for higher resolutions but 1080p barely gets an fps boost
I7 4770k we are here!
I would love to buy a 3060ti if it’s anywhere to be found……
Dlss at quality (1080p) makes my game blurry the second i move. And i turned off motion blur and chromatic aberration.
Texture settings are available in the main menu of the game, its before you hit continue
The texture quality tab only shows up if you are in the menu. In game it won’t let you change it.
Don't know if this would help anyone, But enabling Static FidelityFX CAS: 95 had massive improvements on my gtx 1070 in terms om smoothness. Hope it Helps!
Rtx 2060, performs like shit no matter the settings, such a shame, had a lot of hype for this game, guess I'll wait a month or 2 for the patches
I checkt with 3770k and Vega 64 on my channel
thx dude! only this sets worked for mine
Texture option is only at the title screen
With these settings, if you have the space to throw away a few frames, Nvidia game filter can help make the game look waaay better than you’d ever expect
it doesnt help at all , it looks like you watched a bunch of youtube videos without doing any benchmarks yourself to actually show fps and quality difference , its only your opinion of what is looking good and what is not on a 3070 with dlss on …. who the fuck on this earth plays this game on medium/low settings on a 30 series ? if you want to really make in-depth optimization video, watch hardware unboxed red dead redemption 2 optimization and you might learn how to do it . Do you really play on those settings ?
One of the best optimization guide that I've ever seen! So much explanatory, nice boy
i was told to turn cascade shadow resolution down as it tanks FPS
ugh…. you should really do some research if you are going to speak on graphical settings… you have a extremely basic understanding and that's really not enough to speak on what each setting is doing and because of that you are communicating misleading information.
Went from 60 Fps to mostly 80-85 with an RTX 2070 OC. Thx m8!
God I can't play with any DLSS option I whish I could but It's too strange for me. Thank you for this video I can finally play with the resolution I want
hi i just have one question at the start of the game when i go to the bar to meat jakie the smoke apears pixalated and the lights like lost of blocks what i have to tweack in option to reduce thati have everyting on low
@4:10 the texture option is only available in the main menu before you load a game.
I have a MSI RTX 2070 and a Ryzen 7 3700x
Turning everything from high/ultra to low/medium I only saw about 5 extra FPS
RTX off I saw 30 extra FPS than when it was on.
For me at least RTX is the setting that's tanking FPS.
Everything else doesn't really change the performance that significate to justify such lower quality gameplay.
It helped very much, thank you and gl ! 😀
Barely 100 FPS at 1080p on a 3070. Unreal. There are some fixes coming out today hopefully the game actually becomes optimized soon. Cause right now it’s a mess
You have other issues if you can't hit 100fps on 1080p with a 30 Series RTX
I'm running it on a 3080 and your settings kick ass …thanks bro
Thanks man, running this exact settings without dlss nor RT getting around 80/90 fps stable on 1660ti and i7 9750h on ROG Laptop! Looks great!
You missed to explain texture quality, is only available in menu options
Thanks
I dont get it 😐 I have 5700x red devil with 3700x amd and I run it perfectly fine and steady around 100 fps the only thing I have off the only get is bugs but thats just the game and everything max with 1080p
thanks bro!
Thank you!
What sensitivity do you recommend because whatever I set mine to for some reason always feels too high.
Contact shadows, make huuuuge difference if you drop down everything to low (easy to spot in the first mirror in the game, at least it was on patch 1.03).
You can mess with the texture settings from the start menu but not while in game.
Okay just basically put the game to low and play x'D
Saved you 20 min.
Wait I need help.. how do I keep the smoke that’s in the area from like burning cars or industrial places from glitching out.. it’s super glitchy looking for me and it’s annoying
hello i have a issue with anti aliasing i get alot of jagged edges everywhere i tried antialiasing transparancyin the control panel but it doesnt remove everything
At 12:15 when he said "things like" a Runescape ad popped up…
Thx for the tips gtx 1080 fe i74790 k 32 gb ram running gsync monitor 180 hz 1 ms got it running smooth adjusted some to my liking at 1080 p low FPS mostly at 59 got it going to 80s up and down to 64 FPS sometimes hit 59 crowd density kept at high like the busy crowd and cars kept basic all off fov at 100
In the main menu settings I kept the texture quality at high
Advance contact shadows on
Improved facial lighting geo on
Anisotropy 16
Local shadow mesh quality med
Local shadow quality med
Cascade shadow range med
Cascade shadow res med
Distant shadow res low
Volumetric fog res low
Volumetric cloud off
Max dynamic decals low
Screen space reflections quality off
Subsurface scatter quality med
Ambient occlusion low
Color precision med
Mirror quality low
Level of detail high
Ray tracing you know off 😂
Will test on my asus gu502 gv laptop soon with I 7 9750 h with rtx 2060 haven’t upgraded the ram yet don’t want to mess with warranty but it’s at 16 gb last time I remeber using the GeForce experience it did run better than my desktop build where I can push more on the quality close to max for 1080 p without ray tracing was getting frames at the 60 s but I have to keep the laptop on battery saver mode or it will heat up also don’t forget to set your GeForce control panel settings in 3D settings to performance on the power and texture quality to performance I don’t do it on the laptop don’t want over heat it helps a lot on my desktop in case it helps anyone hope it helps peace guys 👊🏽
Also I did undervolt my gtx 1080 to -20 on power so the temps stay on the 70 mark but boost gpu boost and clock at +20 kept fans at 100%
Texture only available on the menu when you first open the game
DEEEEKAAAAAAALSSSSS
