Cyberpunk 2077 Changed Gaming – (but not how we thought)

Read more about Cyberpunk 2077➜ https://cyberpunk2077.mgn.tv

Cyberpunk 2077 has been one of the craziest launch windows in Gaming History. Lawsuits, investor anger, pulled from stores, refunded en masse… and so much more. The government steps in… the company loses value, but the stage is set for a silver lining as this game might have finally broken through the veil between investors, management, developers, and gamers.

Ultimately some good will likely come of it all, with a game (in the end) that deserves your time. I spend so much time on the negative… Id like to try and see the positives here.

  1. I got burned on Battlefield 4 way back when I first built my PC. You bet your ass I've never pre-ordered a game since that shit show.
I feel bad for all the new people getting into the industry/gaming. Anyone who's been around for more than 2 years. You're a fool if you took anyone's word and pre-ordered a game.

  2. Ubisoft better be paying attention to this because no one is more guilty of marketing hype paired with broken messes and promises more than then thanks to cdpr this time they will be under pressure to stop rushing out half baked products for once I hope

  4. So at what point do we correctly call Cyberscam "Anthem" and remove the claim from less deserving titles like Godfall?
Godfall wasn't great, but it has no right to be compared to this disaster.

  5. This game makes me empathize with Anthem players. I want this game to be finished, I want CDPR to get the support so they feel motivated to do so, I want CDPR to survive so they can, because what is here is great. But I also feel in the minority because the overwhelming sentiment is revenge and punishment for the worst practices of the video game industry and those aggrieved because of yet another heartbreaking hit of the worst year in on record. I feel that, and I understand. I just want there to be a chance of a turnaround.

  6. I feel like part of the hype inflation was just due to the state of the world. A lot of people were desperate for something good to believe in, and CDPR had legitimately earned the good will that they eventually squandered. If we find ourselves in such circumstances in the future, I'd put my money on people blindly pouring all their faith into the next "Cyberpunk" again, because that is simply human nature.

We didn't learn from Anthem. We didn't learn from Fallout 76. We didn't learn from Cyberpunk. We won't learn from the next thing either.

  7. I stopped pre ordering a long time ago but decided to buy BL3 S deluxe edition and I enjoyed it continue to support it/play it, and i thought i'd pre order Cyberpunk in December and i'm a bit in between of my feelings for it. i wasn't on the hype train only last year i was reading more and more into it and thought it would be a good buy because of Witcher 3 and Witcher 2.

  8. To think CDPR could’ve avoided this whole world of hurt if they just delayed the game for another few months to iron out the bugs. I hope those 8 million preorders were worth the world of hurt they currently inhabit.

  9. The problem I see is this: Even if they fix every single bug and every single glitch on every single platform, the game would still be years worth of development from even coming close to what was actually advertised.

It was supposed to be ground-breaking, setting a new standard for the entire sci-fi rpg genre, with a branching story line dependent on the players choices, set in a vibrant immersive world with very realistic NPCs.

Instead it's (aside from the bugs) a decent hyper linear action adventure with a (on PC at least) visually impressive game world lacking a lot in depth and immersion. Can't really see how they could possibly deliver on that, accountability or not.

  10. ALL but one third person cutscenes were cut because they were never in the game. Change my mind.
CDPR lied, hid and launched in this condition because they were out of money. Change my mind.
They will in the long run lose more money than they won cheating players, even us PC players who had a kind of working game.

    Please change my mind.

  11. I enjoyed the story of the game, the game was good. But it wasn't as good as they claimed it would be, overall I'm not upset with my purchase, but I would like to see it get to where they said it would be, or at least be made moddable like skyrim or something.
