Cyberpunk 2077 Disaster Continues – Lawsuit FILED Against CD Projekt Red
Source
I blame leadership and the execs not testing the game, lying to the community and not listening to their people. There is no reason the game should have shipped like this. If I were CTO, I would not have shipped if I was told by my QA team or developers that the state of the game was like this – end of story.
The glitches are not even the big problem – I think a lot of people can live with that. Quest-blockers and corrupted saves though – that's not acceptable and I find it hard to believe the devs and qa team didn't know. We were all QA testers for this game and half of us reported the same problems. It wasn't that the devs or qa staff didn't know – it's that the execs knew, lied and released it anyway, or they didn't know and that's still on them for not setting up channels to get information from people below them. Either way, it's their fault. People should stop defending the cdpr execs.
It seems like US law firms trying to fish for easy money.
Did someone do a follow-up on Bethesda's lawsuits from the F76 disaster?
I'm single 😥😥😥😥😥
I completely agree that CDPR deserves some blowback for releasing the game in such a terrible state. Which has happened, theyve received huge blows to PR and some lost profit from the refunded sales. However most game companies do not attempt to put things right while CDPR have gone out of their way to do so even causing more PR damage to themselves in the process. Companies like EA, Ubisoft do this sort of anti consumer thing pretty much annually and they either lie to investers equally the same or more likely the investers know the complete rubbish thats coming out and dont care even at the cost of the customers.
CDPR was a hot upcoming company from its large fan following and new investers were quick to jump in without too much thought and while most of them will likely still profit from this game launch some will simply want more money (as all investors always do) this is simply an easy way for them to do so, with a law firm egger to do the same. Do CDPR deserve some punishment? Sure. Do they deserve this? No.
This being 2020 and everyone being somewhat unhappy and finances lowered i think heavily weighs into this scenario.
This really tarnishes CDPR’s reputation still. It’s a sad day when a video game company has launched a title in a worse shape than Star Wars Battlefront 2.
One more reason to avoid digital consoles
So, CDPR is SO INCOMPETENT that after 8-9 years and STILL couldn't make the game exactly as they wanted. And they had to DELAYED IT TWICE! They are SUCH A BAD developer, that they couldn't make a good game after a near decade of work. Is this what people want to believe?
And for the record, no, they didn't not work on it for 9 years. They started in late 2016, as per their 'hidden' E3 message in that year.
This game was way too over hyped-up and it was rushed out there were warning signs and people put way too much trust in CD preject red and people pre ordered the game which you should never pre order any game once they get your money they don't care
The "developers" are not clear of blame, especially the non-technical staff that wrote the story and designed all the systems and quests.
The CEO and the rest of upper management aren't clear of blame either, nobody asked or forced them to lie to the customers, the investors and even their own employees. CDPR devs said multiple times that they learned about delays and release dates from the game's official TWITTER rather than internally.
It's not all fault of "greedy investors". If anyone's greedy it was CD Projekt's owners who decided to relinquish control of the company in order to syphon cash out of those "greedy investors". "Greedy investors" did not lie to everyone that the game runs "surprisingly good" on last gen consoles and they didn't hide the fact that the game is just a shooter with RPG elements replaced by bugs and incompetent technical design. They are entitled to a lawsuit.
I like banana, I eat banana. I dont like banana, I dont eat banana. If Im masochist I do opposite. If Im sadist, I dont like banana and make everyone to not like it or I like banana and make everyone to like it.
You repeating rumors there is very little chance that in court you can prove incompetence to the company with the largest sales in own history and that they lie is some marketing promises . J didnt hear about similar accident somone win such things in court . 13 milions in one week is succes rather media have histeria whole time about this game and company they need psychiatric advices .

Meh, im playing on Xbox One X. Alls i've had is some frame rate issues here and there, and thats it. NO BUGS, NO T poses, no texture issues. For me, the game has been amazing. It feels like everyone else complaining about it lives in an alternate reality. Im really starting to get tired of the negative news around it since i don't have any real problems. I even tried it on base xbox one, and its not that bad. (Fallout 4 runs far worse)
Merry Christmas Vara! CyberPunk 2077 might be a crap fest but its the gift that keeps on giving amazing content!
I think this whole class action lawsuit situation is ridiculous and overkill.
this is such a shame, cd does not deserve this, the game runs perfectly fine for me, the left media just wanted to destroy this game for not aligning with their agenda. this is bs. i hope cd can recover from this
The lawsuits are complete BS and a distraction at this point. If they do this to CDPR then ALL the other game companies are on the chopping block, ALL OF THEM! They screwed up and now they are fixing it, also selling 13 million, even with some returns with a game that I am playing just fine on PC is not FRAUD! I have my criticisms and they go back to not having 3rd person cam days 2 years back. I am hopeful that with some updates and DLCs that its is going to get flushed out. This is staring to get old fast bashing them every day to be honest.
Vara, did you like the game? I’m assuming you play on PC? Unfortunately I have to play on a base PS4 and so there are absolutely issues. However, I’m taking on main missions slowly, basically slowly progressing anything and spending lots of time reading lore and just exploring the city. I’m enjoying myself enough to guess if I were playing on PC my mind would be sufficiently blown. I’m planning on starting completely over after the patches release.
Finally Otto starts
I'm playing on PC, and I've seen a few T-posers and floating props here and there. Have not really seen anything game breaking thus far, though. Performance isn't bad at all, although you can at least tweak your graphical settings on PC to get solid performance depending on your hardware. I've been playing on a mix of medium and high settings at 1080p on a GTX1070, and performance has been very consistent, dipping a bit on busier areas for obvious reasons, but nowhere near unplayable. Overall I can say I've had a very positive experience in my 100ish hours of play time, despite it's flaws.
That being said, I'd be lying if said the experience hasn't been somewhat soured by CDPR's marketing shenanigans. The way the game was released on last gen was just ridiculous, and those who purchased it for those platforms are entirely entitled to a refund. TBH, given the minimum PC requirements were already stronger than the base consoles, it's baffling they even released it for those systems, and I'd wager the delays were largely due to them trying to get the thing to run on ancient hardware. I think the game suffered a lot from the massive amount of hype they built around it too, kinda like it happened with No Mans Sky. Hopefully we can at least see a similar redemption story down the road.
They said that my choices would have consequences. Well, that wasn't entirely a lie: my choice of purchasing the game in that state had consequences.
It's odd, I come here every now and then to watch a video from you. Half the times I just want to sit here and chat with you 😂😂 you seem so calming and chill to chat with.
My thoughts on this….huge massive game, years of development, angry fans annoyed by delays, angry investors and ceos angry at delays and now a flaming ship sinking. Sounds about right.
Sad that Bill and Ted 3 will be the highlight of 2020 for Keanu…
Sorry, they're WORSE than EA and Activision bc of their manipulative boasting and constant LIES. Stop defending them. They need to fix this, not to be coddled.
