It just gets worse and worse with Cyberpunk. Even if you have managed to avoid most of the bugs, if you game save file gets too big then it could corrupt and be broken permanently!!

More like…SEEDY PROJECT REKT… By management.
Heads up if Sony's refund site isn't working for your refund go into the normal refund site skip the cyberpunk question and lie about downloading your purchase to get a human in the chat, they know about the 2077 issue and will instantly do the refund for you no waiting on there buggy ass site.
I would have gladly waited another year for a finished game. Shame…
I bought the game from GOG. I requested a refund 10 days ago. This is the thanks I get for trying to fully support the game instead of going through steam. Never again.
Yikes… looks nervously at the piles of craft materials I hamstered up >.>
send the card out the door, it have a engine and wheels so it's done, we can add the windows, lights and so on later , heheheheheheheheh
if the steam summer sail didn't let me get the game for $20 id be way more upset but yee another game i cant play till its fixed cuz im not losing 100 hours of only side content i didn't even touch the story yet
It is terrible that your save files can be corrupted, however keeping it under 8mbs isn't that hard. I have played over 70 hours of the game so far and I've looted pretty much everything I've came across and my save file is around 4.5mb
I think you have to hoard things to cause it massively increase and I think there is an issue where if you sell items to vendors that they stay in their inventories but if you sell them to drop points they leave the game. If you're picking up crafting items, why not use them to upgrade or craft?
I'm not defending the fact that you can lose your save though I think if you're aware of it you can now work around it, still loot to your hearts content and do what you want.
I remember channels where they said DO NOT PRE-ORDER a game. I listened to them and held onto my money. Looks like it paid off once again.
Had a save file with 50 hours game time, right before the last main mission, everything else was done. Save file was at 4.75 MB. Then i started crafting around 2000 EPIC maddocks, 3000 epic incendiary grenades, they only need 1-1 common and uncommon components and gives back a lot of rare and epic ones. That put my save file at 4.87 MB. Then i started using the item duplication exploit and duplicated around 5000 maddocks and same amount of grenades. After that my savefile became 4.95 MB (5074 KB). BTW the crafting and duplicationg took more then an hour.
The problem exists, that is true, but so far no one provided evidance that it can be reproduced without exploits.
BTW your very first save file should be around 1.05 MB

don't prepurchase games. EVER. if you are smart you should know that games release broken all the time. even good old CDPR on its pedistal. wait till everything is ironed out. by then you might even get the game cheaper.
This was the last straw for me. Went into town today and got a full refund.
Yet, to be fair, the main reason I got a refund was because of how they treated the Devotion devs. CDPR is more than welcome to get that sweet, sweet China money but I'd rather not support any company that bows before the Pooh.
Did someone buy the CEO "How to wreck your gaming company for dummies" as a birthday present or something? I nearly bought this (physical version) as a present for someone, dodged a bullet there. Christmas day would have been "interesting"….
The game is in beta and the management at cdpr though it was OK to release it as complete game
Even if we ignore the bugs, there are so many things that aren't finish like the wanted system, the AI of the NPC and more
The game need at least 1 year more of development
…It…won't…stop…crashing…
I can stand the bugs, I think it's quite funny, but I can't stand the CRASHES!
(I'm on PS4 Pro)
Oopies? I think you meant to spell oopsie in the title card. lol
hmm dont know.. i played 50H so far with my nomad.. crafting like hell/looting like an idiot … and my savegames are only 3.6MB
Must be hard for them to apply a item / weight limit to prevent this. Very, very hard…
Smug much ?
This is what is happening everywhere. The floor worker is looked at as idiots and tools to meet superficial goals. Going on in both private sector & government. Epic failures are on the way, brought to you by today's business analysts.
Don’t buy big titles on launch unless you want to pay to be a beta tester.
HOW DID THE DEV PLAY 175 HOURS.. HE DIDN'T PICK A SINGLE ITEM FROM THE GROUND!!!
I work in software dev, I am from Poland and therefore I symphatize with development team in CDPR, but how the f they did any QA if they are letting saved games (the MOST IMPORTANT PART OF ANY GAME) to be completly lost. Up until this shit I stood and defended them, but this is just ridiculus.
The tears of console gamers are so sweet.
well ya, you can never recover corrupted shit…i had it happen my first playthrough of original sin 2, which sucked.
The shit on Cyberpunk 2077 train is getting really really old for me.
That's it! CDPR should be forced to do a Product Recall on C2077! It's broken across the board! Class Action Lawsuit ahoy!
How are people playing this game? I am at 50 hours ingame. I pick up almost everything I see. I've had no issues.
This is all managements fault. I do not think we should be bashing on the developers at all. I still love the game in the state that it is in; people are not keeping an open mind….
Big announcement? Nerdiotic found a real alien ufo in his backyard?
Give them 4 months to fix it , and 4 more for modders to fix the rest – at least .
Doesn't happen on the pirate copy apparently!
says quite clearly on the screen bhind your head there, it happens when you are exploiting bugs in the game… duplicating items… are they meant to have forseen this at the point of programming, as it was not meant to be a game mechanic? dude, gtet fucking real. so you had a bad experience, so have many others. but at least look into what you are reporting.
have more than enjoyed most of your content so far, but now you are joining the cancel culture, reporting crap just for views without checking into your "news stories". bye bye subscription.
everyone's 70 hour saves are ticking timebombs…
Cyberflunk 2077
Hey Az, would you consider this worse than Fallout 076?
I just did a test and cut down my inventory immensely (which wasn't that big to begin with), and it made zero difference to the size of the save file. So the advice to slim your inventory down doesn't work.
The following seems to affect the size:
– Quests and side-quests completed (good luck going for 100%)
– Picking up loot, no matter what you do with it later
– Crafting items, no matter what you do with them later
– Killing enemies, because for some reason the game never despawns some of their corpses and keeps all that crap in the save
If every single item has a unique ID (going by what the GOG moderator said) then why isn't this being garbage collected when said items are disassembled or otherwise removed from the game? I've made hundreds and hundreds of grenades, because my build factors heavily around them, and I have a feeling that every single one of those grenades is taking space in my save even though they're long gone by now.
What a mess.
