Cyberpunk 2077 Gets Crushed With User Scores On Metacritic

It’s been a wild few days for CD Projekt Red after PS4 and Xbox One owners found out the hard way that Cyberpunk 2077 was a performance mess on their systems along with bugs and glitches that everyone else was experiencing. Since then gamers have taken to Metacritic to leave low User Scores to express their frustrations.

  1. Completely unacceptable CD marketed this on PS4 and Xbox one all the time lately they went silent on those versions which is very shady. Idc if the game is bad on last gen if they knew that was the case just release it on next gen and pc for now. But they didn’t because they wanted all the money from the 100 million PS4 that have been sold and the 25 million Xbox that have been sold. Pure greed imo but nothing new in the gaming industry. I got lucky I have a PS5 so I haven’t had a problem but still feel bad for last gen people and please don’t come with “buy a pc” elitist attitude not everyone can afford a PC for one game.

  2. Its not just bugs and bad rendering that is the issue. Its things like the wanted system spawning officers 10 feet behind you and not having them programmed to drive. The AI is atrocious in general. The cover system doesnt work half of the time for stealth nor is it consistent for damage mitigation. You can sometimes just walk though barriers while aiming.

  3. I've been playing on my One X and haven't had really any issues, but I'm also playing the game after the day one patch and the latest update for xbox. I hope they iron things out for all platforms cause it's definitely a great game.

  4. Do people seem to forget Witcher 3 was the exact same way when it released, but it was praised to high heaven. I'm not sure if it was it had a bigger impression at the time or what…. but large huge world games are now just the norm. Doesn't seem to be groundbreaking this time around

  5. Video-game. Half of that word is game, for gameplay.

If you can't play the game well then yeah, the score should be very low. Whats the point of the best open world experience if you can't play it.

Lol here is to hoping they can patch this sinking ship

  6. You can eat your words regarding Stadia now, listed as the no 2 place to play Cyberpunk, beating out Xbsx and PS5. Time to re-evaluate your previous line of thinking for Stadia, because it's become relevant now and it not such a click winner to slag it off……..is it!

  7. sad to see the situation, it's such a phenomenal game, I'm 50+ hours played on PC with a crappy GT1080 and it's been totally fine bar a few very minor bugs, hope CDPR can pull a HG recovery on this one for the consoles

  8. If they fix all the bugs and crashing and the game is stable, would people go back and change their user score? Doubt it cause they’ll be too busy playing the game

  9. People playing on PC and next gen are able to look past a lot of these complaints but many people don’t have an option with their choice of console. Not everyone can drop $500 on a new console especially with them being sold out everywhere. People who pre ordered and have waited for this game on the generation of console they have were lied to and screwed over. Everyone wouldn’t give any other company a pass, so we shouldn’t give a pass to CDPR

  10. If you can't play the game, it's a 0. Simple. It's about how much you are paying for something. In the US, 60 bucks, not a lot of money. But outside the US, games are getting ridiculously expensive. Canada: $88 Australia $100 for next-gen. The point is when you're paying that much for something, you expect it to work, or at least run at 30 fps.

  11. They should have just launched on PC when it was ready and released as a next gen game in 2021 when it was ready. That or just waited till next year which would have sucked. Let’s face it the PS4 and Xbox one are old now. And I imagine they would have had to butcher the game design to get it working on the old hardware

  12. Even Ac Valhalla beat this by a milestone. This is basically the PS1 version. What’s a shame now is they could of saved everything by cancelling last gen version and worked on it for another year for next gen. they could fix all the bugs and make it fantastic, but they will never have the same credibility again. Such a shame.

  13. I think for some people on the older Gen Consuls. It could be a hit-or-miss with some of them. some people are having a good experience with no bugs. and Others are having A great experience.
