  1. If they leak the source code…I mean…they'll just target the people that get their hands on it, because legally you can't have it. It's accepting stolen goods. And after seeing how Cyberpunk is built, I can't imagine that handing the source code over to any other devs would be particularly valuable.

  2. A little tip, perhaps not to jump into assumptions too fast: ransomware hacks often claim to have a lot of data they couldn't have gotten, counting on the fact that many are not tech savvy enough to check what data could actually be compromised from a given source accesspoint. So I wouldn't count on seeing some devastating news about CDPR leaks and such, as it is unlikely for a dev workstation to be anyhow connected to HR or investor relations servers (I seriously doubt it's even running on the same entries, perhaps not even the same building). That is, if we assume that only a dev workstation was actually compromised.
Leaking the source code could leave some comment here and there, however SC is labeled as intellectual property, and as such is protected by law. So even if someone buys it, they cannot really use it without getting sued (or maybe go full aggro and put criminal charges, since the code comes from data theft, simple fencing really).
As to the hack itself… I wish the person realizes they are screwing with people's lives, jobs and futures. So… not really a freedom fighter, a vigilante of justice… just a fkn thief.

  3. USA Top Government Sectors (literally) were hacked for a minimum of 9 months straight and only found out last month…
They actually have no idea what was stolen and The hack still hasn't been stopped.

    USA Military Budget for 2020 – 700 Billion Dollar's.
2.5 Times larger than China's. The hacking capital of the world.
