Cyberpunk 2077 is a 2020 action role-playing video game developed and published by CD Projekt. The story takes place in 2077 at Night City, an open world set in the Cyberpunk universe. Players assume the first-person perspective of a customisable mercenary known as V, who can acquire skills in hacking and machinery with options for melee and ranged combat.

Cyberpunk 2077 was developed using the REDengine 4 by a team of around 500, exceeding the number that worked on the studio’s previous game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (2015). In this video DreamcastGuy does a brutally honest review for Cyberpunk while talking over gameplay and shot combat, story, side quests, and even dirving while talking about the glitches, graphics, and acting of all the major characters. CD Projekt launched a new division in Wrocław, Poland, and partnered with Digital Scapes, Nvidia, QLOC, and Jali Research to aid the production.

Cyberpunk creator Mike Pondsmith was a consultant, and actor Keanu Reeves has a starring role. The original score was led by Marcin Przybyłowicz, featuring the contributions of several licensed artists. The gameplay performance is bad on the base PS4 and base Xbox one and Xbox one S while the xbox series S version doesnt seem to be fully upgraded either according to reports like Digital Foundry.

It will be released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Xbox One on 10 December 2020, and will be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2021. The game received universal acclaim from critics for its world design, characters, enthralling role-playing experience, and its general innovative approach, while most of the criticism centered around the game’s extensive technical issues.

  1. Dude I played it on my ps5, it was ok but crashed a bunch. And a few bugs (haven’t played too long so I’m sure there are more) I haven’t played anymore cuz I’ve been busy at work but hopefully more patches are coming.

  2. The game itself isn’t actually that bad, the story and gameplay system is awesome. Watch the reviews change when it’s finally a solid final product. (Yes I agree, it should have been released this way, though.) however, it is missing a lot of content that was once shown in trailers which is a shame 🙁

  3. Imagine caring about other peoples opinions. The game is about an 8 out of 10 tbh, runs fine on platforms that have more cpu power than a base last gen potato. On pc there are bugs, but nothing game breaking so far like base potatoes. There are occasional floating props. Those tend to be funny.

  4. I hope the gamers rip CDPR a new one. I want my money back! Reputation for ever tarnished. It is NOT just broken on base PS4 and Xbox1. PC is bugged straight to hell and immersion is right out the window. The AI and AI driving path is a joke, the cops spawn out of nowhere and disapear after 20 sec of chase, npcs are glitching through walls and on and on and on. They should have waited another year instead of releasing this alpha state.

  5. They should never bring the consolitus versions out the same time as PC. Should have come out 2 years after the PC release. If they focused on the PC version at first, it could have been so much better.

  6. Was your new gaming chair bought with the money you shilled for CDPR? Bugs aside, there is not one aspect of this game that is fun or up to any gaming standard. The shooting is terrible. The driving is terrible. The city itself looks like it's from Deus ex but with cars. This baffles me that this hot garbage came from the same company that made the Witcher 3.

  7. To be honest if you have an old ps4 or og xbox one you need to stay away from new games I couldn't imagine playing this on either those consoles were just pure crap lol the pro and x had redeemed them, anyone expecting greatness on those old messes its time to get a different one or new gen lol.

  8. PC gamer here. Based on my experience, those who give this game a positive review are CDPR loyalists. Game is bad even when it functions properly. As for CDPR, I will never again trust the company and equate it to EA.

  9. precisely because everything Project Red showed of Cyberpunk with crowded streets in a “living” city and graphics that looked next-gen, I was somewhat cautious many developers show their game on the best available hardware that usually creates expectations that often don't I did not see this coming I was about to buy the game but decided to check gamers reviews on YT what a mess I am waiting for the PS5 to be available for sale again and then I hope that the game does its promise redeems.

  10. They told gamers the product is not ready yet. They extended the release dates. Gamers went into a fit. They release the game unfinished. Gamers go into a fit. So who is the actual ones at fault here.

  11. Guys, I could have told you it was going to be bad. Most games that are this big in scale and are trying to be very detailed turn out to be trash. Remember when Fable was supposed to be the perfect game? Didn't really work out because they are restricted by the technology of their time and the idea was to big for the project.

  12. Thanks for the article DreamcastGuy. One thing that keeps getting pointed out is something I myself have overlooked too. I keep saying that they should of just released on PC, and the new consoles. While their actual target was PC, and the last gen consoles. A friend had to point this out to me earlier today. So now I've just accepted it was plain old fashioned greed on the part of CDPR. Yes the company known to be consumer friendly. The company that never feels the wrath of the 'This is Anti Consumer' militants. They've known for literal years this game hasn't worked correctly on consoles. It's a mess on the mid gen console upgrades too.

They say numbers don't lie and we will use numbers from wikipedia so accuracy may be a factor. Keeping in mind it's been reported that The Witcher 2 was one of the most pirated pieces of software ever on PC. People who didn't even have a PC capable of playing the game still pirated a copy. Consoles by nature are harder to pirate on. This is sometimes the reason very large developers release their PC version last.

So the Witcher 3 sold 28 million copies on all formats combined. 12 million or nearly 43% were sold on PC. While the other 57% of the copies were split between all the consoles. I think that right there is proof they were not willing to give up that console money on Cyberpunk2077. I could be wrong and I'm sure it won't be the last time I am today.

  13. Character creation is very limited if you create a black man his voice will not match V male voice. You have no haircuts but a Buzz cut if you want a black person. Then most controller schemes for those type of games are usually the same but they really went over the top and made it stupid you can't look at your messages while driving because you lose control of the car and if you try to chance the music while driving it takes about 20-30 seconds to change it. I'm playing on a PS5 and I'm having nothing but problems

  14. I was never hyped for this game nor was I excited to play this game. I have a mega computer with top end CPU and GPU. I decided to purchase the game to see what the mess was all about. For PC, this game is beautiful and downright fun when you get into gun fights. The graphics are top notch and the environments are AAA for sure. The experience is best on PC as always. Sorry console users got the shaft yet again. It totally give me a total recall……bladerunner feel to it. its got a personality for sure. I am sure the devs will get this fix up in no time. It was my understanding that if you purchased the game…that you get a free updated copy when you get a next gen console. I would just chill the fuck out and wait to play it on the PS and xbox when they become available.

  15. Thats because older console can't handle it. Play on pc and it works fine. Still has funny glitches but funny. Games dose not meet alot of what they said it would do that is my main complaint. Customization is just not there.
