Cyberpunk 2077 Launch Woes CONTINUE – CD Projekt Red Stocks FALL, Response To Bugs, & MORE!

From the outside looking in, things may seem dire yet CD Projekt Red is sitting pretty. Boasting 8 million pre-orders and already earning their development costs back, Cyberpunk 2077 is clearly set to be a huge commercial success. However, investors have lost some confidence given the launch, bugs, and subsequent reviews of Cyberpunk 2077 leading to a 29% drop. Some of this is due to inflation, but it could also explain CDPR turn to mobile gaming and microtransactions. Let’s investigate as the launch woes continue for this talented studio.

  1. For me the game runs well on the original Xbox One. On launch day it was terrible. Couldn't even properly see my character during character creation due to blurry textures. Lots of NPC pop-ins and below 30 FPS. But then yesterday the game started playing well enough. It looks nice, loads lots of NPCs so the world looks filled (especially bars). The performance I'm getting now is actually what I was expecting to get on a 7 year old console. So I'm hopeful that they can fix whatever is Killing the performance for other lastgen console players in a matter of weeks if not days.

  2. CDPR deserves the hate, they brown nosed gamers until they were able to fuck them over and it worked. All the people giving them a pass or the benefit of the doubt are just proof to how effective their marketing and PR team were at fooling people and making them forget CDPR like all game studios first and foremost goal is to make money.

  3. Its not just the bugs, its the lies and the greed too.. also flaunting on our faces that "lol we already made our money back + lots of profit" is a really scummy move when tje game is literally unplayable for the biggest install base they suckered peiple to buy it for.. so its a good thing their stock took a hit, it just should have been a much bigger hit..

  4. I’m honestly interested in investing on these guys it seems like they might be able to flip their situation. And if a lot of people dipped it’s possible their shares have a gone a bit down. If anyone knows how to or point me in the right direction it be much appreciated

  5. Playing on Ps4 Pro. The game occasionally still crashes and has a few visual and audio bugs.

That being said, I still LOVE this game and its world, easily some of the best money I ever spent.

But with all its technical issues, its really hard to reccomend since the version on base consoles is supposedly borderline unplayable

  6. GTA 5 does the AI and World Design better than Cyberpunk 2077. GTA 5 world is far more reactive and interactive than Cyberpunk. Cyberpunk's world looks cool but the AI is pretty bad for a game of this level. Hell even the story of GTA 5 is more interesting than Cyberpunk 2077.

  7. CDPR should be ashamed… Patch 1.04 on Xbox (I'm on X1X) is completely unacceptable. They have simply just lowered the render resolution, LOD detail, absolutely decimated the lighting quality, and removed all ambient occlusion. They will just lower the graphics until it manages to hold 30fps. This is BS!

  8. I have a feeling that the latest patch was meant to be the day 1 patch. The difference is massive as they said it would be for that.

Otherwise…what the hell did it look like before release day!

  9. If they need to take a year to patch the game before bringing in expansions and other DLCs, so be it. They're gonna need to pull a No Man's Sky to avoid any larger negative crash.
