  1. Yay! Video early. Also, I've been excited for this one! I really like this version (my favorite part of the Arasaka ending). Great job on the video. I like it! Good mix with Judy's Evelyn scene music. I can't imagine how hard it must've been to make a song with lyrics an hour long without sounding weird.

  2. Man, you did such a good job on this one, really well made! This song has such a strong emotional impact on me, I tear up every time I hear it.
Thank you for making it and for listening to requests!

  3. It was a great song in the trailer. But after playing the game and finishing it – it hits you so much harder. Johnny wrote it for Alt, and it applies to V's feelings about Jackie.

  4. Its funny how the whole story most characters say the city always wins in the end, and the ones that tired to win against the city something bad happen. Guess they where right the city always wins.

  5. Having this song in the Launch Trailer then having it in every ending of the game is beautifully poetic to me.

Say what you will about the bugs but this games atmosphere and music is unquestionably stunning.

  6. Ironic how in such an important moment in the game about how fucked up all arasaka’s technology and its look likes are, we see a “secure your soul” advertisement right in our faces.
Thank you loads for making this one I absolutely love it❤️.

  8. Gosh I’m obsessed with this song it’s scary. When I first heard this song for the launch trailer it made me cry (not gonna lie that whole launch trailer made me cry 😭) and it’s still my favourite song right now. It fills me with sadness, but also this feeling of hope, like V will never fade away no matter which path they go down. Also i do love how the riff plays throughout the story in some sequences, it’s really clever as it ties into the whole game

Also ngl, think this is your best one yet
Not that the others aren’t good ofc! But gosh this just hits.. different, done so well incorporating different bits of never fade away, and also do I detect Judy and evies song? Gorgeous darling

  9. Funny what music can do. Had no intention on getting this on release, then I watched the trailer a day before and it sold me 30 seconds in. So glad this song made me pull the trigger on one of the best gaming experiences I've had/will ever have.

  10. This song pierces player's personal journey through the whole game and out of it. The whole journey starts with it in Launch Trailer , when you just hear well-written song, but can't understand what it's about as you can't grasp why the second part of trailer filled with different people like kinda saying farewell to you via gestures. In game first we meet with original of this song on the last Johnny's gig when he screamed through the microphone that they would never fade away before he went on his last raid to Arasaka. Then we hear parts of it in different memorable moments, connected with characters of the game, like said in the description, e.g. when Judy finds Evelyn dead in bathroom, or even differently tuned like over Johhny's grave. And at last, in the end credits, when you finally realizes that all the time this song was about V and Johnny, personal anthem of your own story, which sounds differently, depending on your choice. What started like cool sounding song in the trailer, continued as musical memory of Johnny and Alt, finally ended as retrospective look to what you've gone through.
    We ended where we started.
Yesterday i rewatched Launch trailer for the first time after almost 2 month of completing the game and completely realized the retrospective of trailer, which told us the whole story in advance and our role in it – when V asking Skye at Clouds what he should do and having an answer – that it's all up to you literally. It's up to you how you will attitude to this game – seeing buggy mess and deleting and refunding it, having some fictional expectations of it, not paying attention even to the tone of the very trailer you've watched before launched the game and dropping it, may be completing it and forgetting for the next day, as you're not able to sense and feel some stuff, may be being hit pretty hard by it, may be remember it forever. There's no right/wrong choice, as it's life – for some stories ends even not having begun, for others they last for years. It's up to you what important choices you will do during the story – though there're not plenty of it. And straigthly after goes that "You believe you cheated death? It is death that has cheated you" – we've been fated from the very beggining, before even launching the game, but such is the way. At last you see all those faces in trailer, which now are familiar to you, and realize that perhaps in the end only memories remain about people which you've met on your path, what did they to you, or what you've gone through with them, as you can't save your own life because "One thing that changed it all, one sin that cause the fall" – and there's no coming back to "normal", you're only able to do something with the time what left. And Closing the trailer with the biggest lie of "living in piece as Mr Nobody, or going down for all times in a blaze of glory", as we've seen that none of it is true, as Johnny is forgotten by everyone, V won't be able to live in piece, never stop fighting for his life, and even Dexter himself, owner of this words, was just shot among the giant junkyard.
We ended where we started, hearing this song, no matter what we did. But as V responsed to Panam who was upset that she would have to return to the same roads eventually, where she started, – roads may be the same, but people won't. As won't we too after finishing this story.
As we heard "Never fade away" even before our journey, and in the end of it – but it's already another song with different meaning, hitting in other way and sounds differently too.
This song became the whole one with the story and will be the eternal reminder of the roads we walked and what happened. The game would be different without it. Feelings from it would be other. May be that's why it's the best ever written song in terms of meaning for the game's plot. Thus may be Cyberpunk launch trailer is the best one for all the times, as it brilliantly made not only as for visual, editing, but also for being even more meaningful and "heavier" after finish the game . May be – I don't know.
But the story has become a part of me. And that's more than enough for me. Much more that i could have ever imagined.
Now i sometimes listen "Never fade away", when i want to think about something serious connected with the story, my life. Not only a reminder of the game, but also a thought provoking – there's no other such thing exists for me – for this i will always be grateful to composers.

Love this mix of lyrics which takes both Refused and the Olga version, probably has to be my favorite part.
Wonder if its possible to make an Olga version with some parts of the Refused one.
