  2. Started getting red flags, when they gave that excuse about "immersion", when the game was switched from third person, to first person.. Then the "you'll see your character in cutscenes", only to have that removed. When I actually played the game, things felt very off.. The game felt like it definitely was supposed to be third person. Seeing the character react to other characters, and environment, is far more immersive.. Then for a game with such a deep character creation (which a lot of that was cut), it made absolutely zero sense, to have first person only.

The massive red flag, was when they mentioned how the consoles, mostly the XB1 was giving them issues. I really seriously thought this game should have been on PC, with a port to next gen consoles.. I was so confused as to why, you'd release such an ambitious game on weaker consoles. I would have also had zero problem waiting for 2022. I don't at all blame the devs who worked on the game, it is the shareholders. Video games are a massive industry now, bigger than music, and movies… These guys rush, and only think about money- and the art is destroyed, and so then you have a failed, mediocre, or bad product- and end up losing more money in the end.

They really need to do what Square Enix did, when Final Fantasy XIV came out in such a terrible state.. Rework it, and do it right- like it was meant to be… I don't think a bunch of updates here, and there will fix this, it just needs to be reworked, and completed.

  3. If you want features developed in the scripted demo? How about you Wait for it the game is still being developed and every one knew it before launch when they said other content like online and dlc is available for free and not gashing micro transactions but rather minor ones idk how ppl beat the game and weren’t happy w it. Every game i beat were good games all the ones I didn’t like never got the light of day.

  4. Cyberpunk 2077 is what happens when talented and highly motivated developers have to deal with the Top Brass being incompetent and greedy. And it genuinely makes me sad because Cyberpunk is a good game, but holy moly does it not come even remotely close to reaching its full potential.

  5. I honestly do not know why on earth this game got some 9/10 and 10/10 on PC, I really believe those numbers are not fair, because even on PC this game is total dog shit and not worth 10/10, and IF you really believe CP 76 is worth a 10? Then you got really low standards.

    PC has:
    > BUGS: items/ skills not working.
    > GLITCHES: wierd pop in, animations etc
    > DUMB DUMB AI: police spawn out of your ass, people react in the most BASIC manner. It's really a disgrace how simple this 2020 AI is.

  6. after playing 2 playthroughs this is really evident, what actually works here is gold, the narrative as well as how immersive it can be (when it works) is a sight to behold.
however the missing dialogue lines, cut content and even perks not working at all really hamper this game's potential, it really needed a lot more time, I'm so sorry for the devs who put all their work into creating what would've been a masterpiece but just ended up a diamond in the rough. I suppose the eventual sequel will correct these errors but I feel like the same problems that plague the AAA space will creep back up.

  7. I knew they needed another two years as soon as it released. Its clear the leaders at cdprojekt red were the only ones that had input on when it released and that they rushed it to get it out early.

  8. For me I never had faith in this game, I saw all the lofty expectations and was turned off right away, because no game has lived up to the hype people create in my experience. I loved CD before this but they ruined their whole credibility and my faith for anything to me. Sorry, but at least I can still play The Witcher and pretend that’s all they made.

  9. Imagine a parallel universe in which CDPR partnered with Rockstar to make Cyberpunk 2077: the former would have developed the the quests, the characters, the story and the RPG elements bwhile the latter worked on the open world, driving, etc.

There's so much potential in this world. So much potential for a proper sequel that focuses on the MC instead of Johnny. An actual RPG with choices that matter.

  10. All I know the game fucking rocks on my PC. Sure there can be improvements, all games have bugs usually on launch. That being said the things that were dropped from the game I hope they can add this year 2021 for release in 2022.. with some much needed DLC content. Yes.. some games I fear will be to complicated for a 500 dollar console, especially as games get more involved graphically and with content.,

  11. I just wish they held it back longer and finished it properly.
Now after all this mess and after I have ruminate over it while playing, I am coming to the belief that this game will not be what it was cracked up to be.
While the game IS amazing. It doesn't seem to be nearly as immersive as they wanted it to be.
I was partially expecting it to take idea's from the GTA3 games.
I want to buy houses. I want to take over and control businesses for extra cash. I wanted the adult content. I wanted to walk into any shop and look around inside at everything in sight. I want to watch the BD's of various short movies for the various adult content. I have a very morbid fascination with some of the things they came up with.
I want to be able to find and craft everything eventually right up to legendary gear, guns and mods as well as the hacks. I did notice that there was a couple random people that you save and they get back to you with missions as thanks. But there wasn't enough compared to the amount of people I saved. I would of loved to be able to walk back into several places to get what I missed since they had been stealth missions that required no harm to anyone, but once the mission is done the doors are forever locked, leaving you to see all the goodies you missed in the Windows.
I want to be able to romance the girls, play constant mini games like pool, arcades, videogames, darts, gun alleys, drinking and not just as once off times.
The more I look at what they have done, I fear it will never be and just go down in history as just another game that failed to meet what it could of been.

  12. The bones of this game are amazing. I had fun in spite of the bugs. The story is better than decent. All that said the cuts so visible. Storylines that should be branching but aren't.

SPOILERS I am pretty sure Meredith Stout and Militech + the Blue Eyed guy had a way bigger planned part in the story. There should have been a clear "good" Arasaka ending where they actually put you in someone else's body by creating a chip to rewrite someone for you to inhabit. I mean they made a chip the prepped your brain for Johnny, why couldn't they do that for you if helped them out. A Miiltech/NightCorp ending where you work with the Blue Eyed man to destroy Arasaka and further whatever plan they have going. So basically three corpo endings. A streetkid ending similar to the one with Rogue and the secret ending. A couple of Nomad endings which vary depending on whether you side with Panam against Biotechnica/Militech. To make the side missions more meaningful, the gangs and characters you help in different side missions should the gameplay of the ending missions by unlocking different map routes or getting combat assists.

The game feels too focused on Johnny. I like Keanu, and I've even say his performance here was pretty amazing, but the railroading you need to make a story like that work cuts against sandbox open world mechanics.
