Today we’re testing out Cyberpunk 2077 with the latest hotfix, 1.05.
Thanks to this patch we’re now able to play the game with dual core CPUs, providing they have SMT or Hyperthreading. I’ve thrown together a couple of entry level gaming machines to see how well the Athlon 3000G and Pentium G6400 handle the game.

  1. Finally now I get solid 30 fps instead of fluctuating 30 fps with lag spikes every 2-3 minutes and my CPU doesn't heat much
(Btw I use ryzen 5 3400G no GPU because RX570/80/90 is unavailable in my country rn)

  2. These results are weird to me. My friend plays Cyberpunk 2077 on a 1050ti and extremely old i5 (intended to upgrade but prices are way too high nowadays) at 1080p Medium settings [slow HDD mode] at at least 30FPS without issues even while streaming it on Discord but the 1050ti in your results is struggling. Is this due to the dual core CPU or something else?

  3. What about Crowd Density in Gameplay Tab menu.?
    Comparing Ped Count for CPU?
Pre v1.05 Medium Saves CPU some, and isn't a barren wasteland like Low Pedestrian counts, but High count can add a chunk of CPU time, esp with camera movements.
    V1.05 comparing Ped Count?

  4. Does this game run on a core2quad processor or just needs newer SSE extensions like other new games? I managed to play doom eternal and control with some hex editor tweaks available. 😅😆

  5. When running with AMD gpus, you can do something: drop the resolution as much as possible w/o looking like crap and crank up Image Sharpening to 100% on Radeon software. It should give you a nice performance boost and still keep the game ok to look at.

  6. Now, that i am watching this, i realise, that this game looks good even at low settings in 1080p, but that might be just me, who is used to play older mid 90s to around 2010 titles (yeah i am a little bit old, but still young). Most of the time i lower the settings in newer titles just to get the sweet fps, or to keep my system cool and quiet (with vsync on), while i am playing, even though that i have a rtx 2060, paired with ryzen 3600. I rather go for lower settings with stable high fps rather than having a stuttery mess in ultra awsome graphics. To be fair, newer games nowadays still looks very good in low – mid settings at 1080p (but thats just my opinion).
    Nonetheless, great video as always!

  7. Kinda feel sorry for console gamers with this game. Plays well enough on my PC, still not what was promised, but still very enjoyable, reminds me of Vampire the Masquerade – Bloodlines back in the day. Just hope there will still be some DLC for it.
