Big shout-out to Patrick on the team at GN for managing to pull this off while Steve was briefly out of commission. Show some love in the comments for Patrick’s work on this one. The benchmarks include the first ~30~45 minutes of gameplay for framerate, then additional information on scaling in different sequences in the games. We also tested for performance on all presets for scaling on the RTX 3080 (low, medium, high, vs. Ultra), skipping the Psycho preset. We then took this data to run tests at 1080p/High, 1080p/Ultra, 1440p/High, and 1440p/Ultra. There’s an infinite amount more that could be done, but for now, we’ll have to call it here to get it out in a timely fashion. Video cards tested include: RTX 3080, RX 6800 XT, RTX 3070, RX 6800, RTX 3060 Ti, RX 5700 XT, GTX 1080 Ti, RX 580 8GB, RTX 2060 KO, etc. We’d like to look into the performance of even more hardware, but this will start us off. Testing was done with NVIDIA GRD and AMD’s driver ready for Cyberpunk 2077. Check back for potential future benchmarks of #Cyberpunk2077 in the future.

Big shout-out to Patrick on the team at GN for managing to pull this off while I was out recovering from surgery. Show some love in the comments for Patrick's effort to get this done quickly! Hobbled back in to knock this one out. We have a lot more we want to do with this game, but for now, this should get us all started! There's a ton more to do yet, but we may wait for a few more patches to roll-out before we embark on testing yet more cards.
GTX 970 now hits a console range.
We know the 30 series cards can run this game. What about the 20 series card, that most of us own….
Will it run on an ET4000 SVGA ?
I noticed games that support dlss. When dlss is enabled it runs smooth and looks good. Without it it feels like the image is not smooth and looks kinda like too much sharpness and stutters more. I think dlss is the future. Imagine dlss 3.0
No DLSS RTX Anti-Aliasing artifacts and Dithering Noise
Well if anyone is looking for a FIX i was able to correct some of the issues and enhance textures with
DLAA, NAA & Filmatic sharpen / LUT
Override Anti-Aliasing in GeForce control.
Not sure what is going on. I have a 2080 ti running 4k ultra and getting better fps than the 3080 shown at 4:42. My average is 45fps with a high of 60.
So FidelityFX is just ignored? Nice
Still using 0.1% lows? You, seriously, know nothing about statistics
Thats why I just play minecraft. I dont like the games like Cyberpunk 2077
i can't even see the difference between ultra and medium O.o.
Thanks for running the 2070 super- a card you can actually get.
A better review would have included Steve in his spandex.
Plays on Rx570 . . Gives 30 fps
Checks people playing on rtx 3090
People getting 30fps with RTX ON
Happy with rx570! will continue using for 2 more years.
2010s – can it run crysis
2020s – can it run Cyber Punk 2077
@gamernexus whats your take on the whole Nvidia vs Hardware Unboxed scenario? Linus went ape, Jay clarified the details. We're waiting on your opinion now 🙂
Didn't know Cisco Ramone started a youtube channel
Edit: Glad I found it
cascaded shadows kill the frames
no 3090 / 6900xt ? ??????? ?
2080ti ?
I'm so glad I decided to buy My RTX 2070 super at the start of the year (when I still thought this game was gonna come out) otherwise I would have been screwed with my 1060.
Steve, I have a question about the Strix cards from ASUS. Is the price tag on these card worth the money, or are ASUS just as greedy as Nvidia, or do we really get that more bang for the money?
In Denmark if buy a 3060 Ti Strix for 4.590 DKKR (747 USD), you can get a 3070 Inno3D for 4.299DKR, and if you buy 3070 Strix for 5.990 DKKR (975 USD), you can get a 3080 MSI for 5.990 DKKR (975 USD), and the 3080 Strix White OC is 8090 DKKR (1.317 USD).
Console…. How it's meant not to be played 😂
Maaan this game is a mess
Can we assume that the game might be poorly optimized across platforms? I mean God of War runned way better on PS4 and had way better graphics but in Cyberpunk, the FPS dips as low as 10-15 FPS. On my 2070 high-medium settings, I have average 60-70 FPS. I mean the recommended gfx card is I think a 1060 wtf.
Thats the first game which got bottlenecked by my CPU to 15-20fps while driving inside the city. CPU 100% GPU 30%.
My GPU only hits around 100% while in the badlands, also the only place I get constant 60fps.
Also the first game I had to turn on DLSS on 1080p (tbf it kinda looks better than native 1080p somehow, dont know what black magic they are using).
2070S/i7 4790k
I hope they improve the CPU usage a tiny bit, I know its not modern by any stretch, but it isnt the worst CPU you can have. Atleast like 30fps inside the city while driving would be nice.
Because its an CPU bottleneck it doesnt even make a difference if I set the game to 720p @ lowest possible settings, still 15-20 fps while driving.
I wish more game reviewers would include 2080Ti numbers in their analysis, RT on 2080Ti may not be as good as the "equivalent" card the RTX 3070, it's useful for us 2080Ti numbers to see if we want to upgrade for more performance.
turn cascade shadows down to LOW and you will gain massive amount of fps, shadows are meh anyways..
the only card you tested I ever saw going for msrp was the 1080TI.
Thanks. Having big trouble running this game on my Gigabyte 590 card with Intel 5820k cpu, Noctua D14, 32gb ram 2666 Vengence LPX, 1300w Evga Supernova, Thor case, oh and Crucial SSD, all non OC'd as I couldn't get it to OC, I did switch the ram to XMP profile but that's it, couldn't get any stable OC's on the GPU, CPU, or Ram. Although I've no idea what I'm doing, I've watched a 100's of youtube video's so tried to do it for 3 weeks without success on any of them! I've got another build I've gotta put together with a 5700xt XFX Thicc 3OC GPU, and a 9700k, ND15 cooler, Kingpin paste, 64gb Corsair Vengence LPX 3200, 1300 Seasonic, Crucial P1 1tb nvme, with a Cougar Panzer Max case, and 140mm Corsair RGB fans 8 of them I think. Putting it off for a while as it's such a pain in the ass to get it all together and will take a year to install all of my programs, plugins, and get it working good enough to do sessions on. As I suck at that shit!
You ever consider shooting an intro where you act as an anchorman breaking some computer news?
I have been sitting on £2000 trying to build a pc with a 3080 for cyberpunks release.
Zero luck, so im stuck playing on my old Xbox one S.
My dissapointment is immeasurable.
No more nvidia please!.we know who they care about!
Thumbnail made me click
The RT in this title looks amazing, but still is pointless at 4K. with my settings on my 3080 it does hold around 60fps, but it feels WAY less smooth no matter the DLSS setting.
The gains with DLSS balanced to performance are so mind blowing at 4K with RTX off that it would be silly to to use them. The game is absolutely incredible with a 3000 series in this title.

my 1070 on low/med @ 1440 gets 30-40 fps ;(
And the winner for the useless test of the year is….
You are a perfect example on how our society is completely sick. Wasting energy and high intellectual capability to do a test on nothing.
Can you compare between whether or not Ryzen or Intel are better for this game?
Because i did not see your PC setup beside the GPU
Idk i have a 2060 and I use high setting at 1440p and get a very stable 60-80fps with a 3600xt take from that what you will
Hey Steve, I realize the RTX 2080 TI is on par or close with the RTX 3070 but I think you should include the RTX 2080 TI in your PC GPU Benchmarks . Hardly anybody has a 3080 or 3070 due to availability unless you succumb to the scalpers. Please include the RTX 2080 TI in your PC GPU Benchmarks until the 3080 3070's are selling at retail in about a year. Many more have a RTX 2080TI . GN is SLACKING -Thanks McFly, Hello ….Hello 🙂 GN FAN
Honestly watching this on 4k native 4k and dlss 2.0 still is very different i cant explain it but its there and in you easily see it
A CPU benchmark would be interesting too. Apparently there's some weird shit happening in this game where something like the 10400F ends up performing better in benchmarks than the 5600X.
if anyone really wishes to test anything in this game go to JAPANTOWN market where ya get taps for johnny….. lets just say 20ish fps to where thats as low as i ever seen my 5600x 2070s 4000mhz c15/2000fclk setup go…1080p default quality set dlss….which does better than balanced auto or performance???
I would love to see what kind of performance you can get with DLSS at 1440p and 4k with RT OFF. Wondering if the 3070 and 3060ti can push the game over 144fps with DLSS at high/ultra settings. I prefer to play games at 120fps+ if at all possible even if it means playing at lower resolution or settings.
No 2080ti testing? Am i missing something? Its kind of an important card for this spectrum right?
