Cyberpunk 2077 on PC… tested on an Xbox One CPU? Yes, it’s possible – just. Last year, a PC motherboard with an embedded Xbox One processor appeared in Far Eastern markets. It’s the first time we’ve been able to run Windows on a last-gen console APU, so just what level of gaming performance can we achieve from it? And if we run Cyberpunk 2077’s PC version on a console CPU, how does it actually compare to the console version itself? So began a lengthy journey that only recently reached a conclusion.

  1. Let's just put these inferior Jaguar cores to rest. They were a plague from 2013, which reduced every decent game to 30 fps on both Sony PS4 and Xbox One. My greatest joy of this new generation is to run last generation games as developers actually intended and hoped. Finally developers are freed to develop as intended. The One X's only advantage was a decent GPU and good bandwidth.

  2. How far along is the PS4 emulator (which isn’t really an emulator, just a virtual machine)? Running it on here could provide an opportunity for low level instrumentation of popular PS4 titles.

  3. This shows how bad it was to release CP 2077 in this state from a different perspective, since many improvements they made just before launch seem to translate nearly 1:1 to consoles. It's so sad to see when incredibly talented devs can't show their magic due to bad decisions.

  4. This guy is why I’m not scared at all to get older

I’m already 38 but this dude shows it doesn’t matter how old you are, you can do whatever you want. I’m not saying he is ancient but you don’t equate a man of his age with video games

He clearly is smarter than he ever was, and truly knows his shit. I hope I’m this sharp the older I get

  5. I would assume Microsoft licensed the use of the silicon and the masking is used by the fabricators to distinguish the chips from Microsoft and retail. Still has never happened to any large degree before . Not sure about sega and the master system. Must be a 2x Nvme slot, weird but the chip doesnt have space for a tonne of I/O

  6. It would be so interesting to put this CPU side by side with the Xbox 360 CPU. I always thought that these CPUs, PS4 and XOne, were no match even for the older, seventh gen, Xenon and Cell CPUs.

  7. I'm running Cyber on an OG X1, not an X1X, and it just does NOT run as choppy as what you see at 9:57. The ONLY time I get anything REMOTELY like that is City Center, when a ton of traffic spawns in, and only when driving VERY fast.

  8. i have own all three xbox one sku's you will either be installing a 4-8 TB ssd to improve game play internally and likely using something as a accelerator to boost gaming performance on all xbox sku's

ps4 pro will be the same for this game

external storage and gpu may help reduce the lack of ram on consoles..

as for pc you are likely looking at a gpu exceeding 128GB or have the capacity of adding a m.2 nvme as a ram bank in pc's to help with the shortage of ram..

as more and advanced visual features become available to use the more ram will be a need to process all that content

I suspect using the top cpu/apu on the market with no ram limit..

likely give you a better game play result than xbox one x, series x combined..

I suspect with going with a 4-8TB ssd will likely give you slightly better graphics results..

Frankly if you aren't using ssd's in your consoles at a high capacity you are doomed to the stupidity of getting the same stupid test results because the only way you can replicate pc functioning on a console is use what you will use in a pc build on the console,

all I know with the simple add of either a smart phone or tablet either to my ps4 pro or xbox one x
has improved my game play in the games that i generally play..

so I have to wonder what would happen if I built a NAS with a 1TB ram and 20 8TB ssd's 6900xt connected via usb to both consoles how much gaming performance could be had when the games are stored within the NAS

  9. Can this hardware run Destiny2 ?It would be fun that this can hold much higher fps while xbox itself can only got 30. Remember this game only need a pentium cpu to get 60 fps?
