Cyberpunk 2077 Receives Massive Backlash Over Game's Poor Performance

There has been A LOT of Backlash for Cyberpunk 2077 over the past two days due to the insanely buggy launch. Constant crashing, graphics not loading, pop in, bad textures, etc… People are not happy with Cyberpunk on the Xbox One and the PS4.

  1. In all honesty, I'm running a fairly low end pc, ryzen 3 3200g, HTC 1650 and 8 gb ram, I'm running this at 1080p medium ish graphics at 30 to 40 fps, that's enough for me, and the game itself if fantastic, I think that a lot of the critics are right about the optimization but a lot of others are just being negative for the sake of it

  2. What a disappointment really. It runs okay on my PC but it's not a good game. It feels like a buggy mess. Braindead NPC AI. It's a rushed product full of nothing but broken promises. City looks cool sure but it feels lifeless, non-interactive, and fake.

  3. Everyone was in a rush to get it and now their mad.
People should have waited and agreed when they said they another delay.
Now everyone has to settle for what they got when it's not what they wanted.

    Lol

  4. So its hard to believe you can run through a crowded ass markets jumping and climbing on buildings and interacting with ai but its so hard to enjoy that to the fullest when the game crashes or has major frame rate drops. It feels like my Xbox one x isn't enough to run this smoothly.

  5. This was intentional. The game was done three months ago. The reason it is shit on everything except the latest tech is because everything about this fucking game is a commercial for the latest tech. A few FACTS here. First, this game is essentially a Far Cry title in terms of gameplay. Despite all the talk about customization there is actually a lot less of it in terms of character creation than what we saw in Fallout 4. There is no body slider, the character has no walk toggle on PC, you are locked into your appearance after character creation and the selection of haircuts is very, very slim. You can give your male character a vagina or a female character a mans voice so… diversity? I mean even there the game fails because you can't choose your sexual orientation. The player character is locked into bi sexuality. The game gets a lot of points for supposedly giving the finger to SJW's but I think the truth is they knew even THAT crowd would not be satisfied with what we have here.

  6. Yeah my shit has crashed numerous times. And yeah the graphics and physics. Been waiting seriously since 2013 for it? I'm on 4k and still. If you turn film grain off it helps alot

  8. this is not fair I just got my pc two weeks ago and my pc is perfectly fine and i still get crashes i can't make it far enough in the story to meet keanu reeves. They better make an update to fix this.

  9. Turn down Cascades Shadow Distance to medium and low, that’s a huge boost to performance while everything is on high, ultra or psycho. That being said, I have my RTX off cuz my 2060 could barely do it lol. It looks already great without it.

  10. I'm here because I had to stop playing. My V got out of Judy's van in 3rd person, without his head. I was able to control him for a bit until he ran off the screen and I couldn't get him back. At least I was able to walk around in 3rd person for a bit.

  11. i will say i personally enjoyed the game despite me having to play it in 35-48fps on my PC. it DEFINITELY needs optimizing and i'm sure it will eventually get optimization but besides that i really enjoy the game. (usually refuse to play anything below 60fps but made an exception for the game.) it's buggy and poorly optimized but the story is interesting and good (imo) disappointing.

  12. The game runs well on my Xbox Series X. At first I thought it was looking a little rough, so after doing some research I turned off all my settings in graphics and that made it look way better and run smoother.

  13. The recoil in this game is too much plus there’s so many things popping on your screen u get so many data about a mission while your on a mission getting shot at like let me do this mission first than tell me about my next mission

  14. One thing I noticed on PC especially with Nvidia is that the game will try and run off the CPU integrated graphics instead of the Nvidia card by default. Have to go into the nvidia control panel and specify the "high performance dedicated gpu" for the game. Lot of not-so-savy gamers probably missing this and trying to figure out why the game runs like sh*t.

  15. I honestly don't get it, I've gotten only a few (very few) bugs, none game breaking, and the game runs on 70fps outside of the city and 45fps in the city with SO much going on and I'm playing on 5 year old PC with only the GPU upgraded and it's not even used to its full limits due to the CPU not being fully capable of handling it.

Is everyone playing on 1070's or some shit? There is a min requirements for the game and they're requirements, not recommendations.

  16. Am I the only person in the world that isn't having any issues with this game? I haven't crashed once , only bugs I've noticed is sometimes the textures don't load and sometimes cars appear out of nowhere

  17. Really glad I upgraded my PC to run this bloody game.

That said. The errors are still many. 😓

I’m also thinking there will be a cybernetics DLC and maybe a tattoo DLC as you can select what kind of bloody cut you want your pubic hair shaped into, but you can’t customize your tatts. Also, the NPCs have cool mechanical arms and whatnot, and you always kinda look the same.

The game is fun, the world is huge… menus take a bit to get used to. Asset management is pointlessly dense. The main quests feel solid, but the side quests can be pure annoyance. I have multiple points where the last person I need to kill is stuck in a wall and I can’t get to them. I have quest items that I can’t pick up. I have completed items not updating and the like.

I mean, I’m glad I’m getting the chance to play it, but after a 7GB pre-release patch and a 1.5 day one patch (which I had to figure out how to get around a ‘locked file content’ error to even play the game again afterward…

    It’s been a bumpy ride.
