Before playing I updated all my Nvidia drivers. After about 13 hours playing (I did 39 hours) the 1.04 patch dropped so the majority of the game was played with the 1.04 patch installed. My computer specs are as follows:
Core™ i9-9900K – 8-Core 3.60GHz, 5.00GHz
Corsair Hydro Series H100i Pro Liquid cool
M2SSD: 500GB
2TB Seagate BarraCuda SATA-III 6.0Gb/s x2
32GB (2x16GB) DDR4/3000mhz Corsair Vengence
MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Pro Carbon
Corsair RM850x 850W power supply
MSI GeForce RTX 2080 DUKE 8G OC, Black
As for the people who can't afford or refuse to spend absurd amounts of money on a pc or new console and 4k tv guess we miss out dont we 🤷♂️
I preordered the Collector's Edition. I thought Bethesda were the bad guys and CDPR were the good guys. Turns out they're all "corpos" :-/
I've had stuck in dialogue bugs. Reload to get back into the game. The AI is junk. I think it was released 2 years too soon 🙁
I never pre-order, I 'downloaded' it to demo it, before parting with my money. If I enjoy the game, I buy the original and support the developers. If I don't enjoy it, then I delete it from my drive, so I don't waste space.
They removed a lot of features from the shipping product. It seems they really struggled with the development of this game. I am shelving my copy until a decent patch is released to fix most of the bugs and hopefully add features back into the game.
STOP PRE-ORDERING DAMNIT
You cant say "play it in a years time" and then give it a thumbs up! It's incomplete. It's not worth recommending at this point in time.
MAc I think this job is getting to you what you need is a long break before nature does it for you
I haven't preordered the game. I didn't buy it after release. Not planning on buying it at all. You would think it's because this is not my kind of game right? Well no, actually .. This is just the kind of game I like. I just don't like how they fked us over with the low FOV and first person camera, and definitely don't like CDPR asking reviewers and youtubers to only show beta footage and out right deny all console footage. Also the world is boring and there is nothing to do. I wonder why they even bothered making it look so good and then left it like a void, empty. Very few npc's, romance is nowhere near Witcher levels, no activities and no life. It's all just smoke and mirrors. This game should have been like: City of Broken Dreamers. Look it up. It's what Cyberpunk shoulda been.
This came up in my suggested after seeing you games been censored vid.
ENGAGEMENT
Ah the original video?
I agree, I wanted this to be an amazing game, but I was very skeptical because of all of the delays, so I held back from purchasing it.
I am glad I did. Every point, you made, makes complete sense, so that every Score of 10 and every score of 0, seems to be a certain type of lie put on by those involved in the transaction.
It's sad, but true, that as soon as you become a public company, you sell your self to the tricks to cheat and steal to make your investors rich.
At least they taught most of us a lesson literally and virtually- hopefully it sticks longer than a month.
PC gamer here. Gotta be honest… I'm not experiencing these bugs, even after at least 8+ hours of play time. In fact, the ones that I have seen are minor, and are far and few between.
But yes, the game world does feel rather lifeless and empty. I wish there was more interaction with the NCPs around.
These bugs are pretty funny at times when watching them on youtube. 8:08 or at 8:33. I am pissing myself
i like theres not tons of points it destroys the build aspect if u can b everything like most RPGs out there. customization is key.
A real shame, don’t they playtest videogames anymore, ah pre-order, got it.. Looks like you got yer video back though, I will have to return to play something retro until they hopefully fix this 7yr tragedy.
finally
Commenting to get the algorithm going in the pants
I'm glad its up again. But it's a really awful move to censor it at the most important day of the video.
Ignoring the glitches and bugs I thought the game was no better than the newer Deus Ex games
I was going to upgrade for this game and my preorder trigger finger got twitchy but I held back. So glad that the new GPUs are out of stock and I didn't preorder. What an absolute shame…
This game looks fucking terrible, and I was excited for it and hoping (praying) for it to meet the hype expectations. But nope. Cheers for the honesty as usual Mack. Saved me yet another 80 bucks. Every time a new game comes out I ought to just donate the money to you instead of all these assholes masquerading as game devs
I recently and painfully graduated from ANTHEM school of resisting the hype. I'd like to thank Bioware for making me wiser in regards to spending money on promises instead of results. I'll check back on cyberpunk next year maybe
Mate, i discovered your channel earlier this year, and now i always stop here before buying a game. I have great respect for your honesty and thoroughness when reviewing a game. I really feel i'm in a better position to make an informed purchasing decision after watching your videos, and for all of that you have my utmost gratitude.
This whole censorship thing is what we in Australia call, a fucking dog act. Don't let 'em get you down, i'll be sharing your review with every gamer i know. I hope you keep at this for a long long time, the world needs more mavericks.
Cheers =)
The city feels terrible…
It’s not all the gamers fault it’s the culture of getting stuff out before Christmas sales
Sadly, devs are already quitting CD Projekt, some of them crunched for 2 years and all their effort went down the drain in the worst style possible due to mismanagement. Reality is there may be no one to really fix the game.
Great review, just made me refund the game (had 10 hours in the game and got a refund) hopefully this will send a message to CDPR. I will buy it again for a lower price when the game will be fixed.
The only company benefiting from this fiasko is nVidia that now has one important raytracing benchmark in which Amere i trashing RDNA2. I blame CDPR for getting into situation that it must release a game in such state.
I NEVER buy a game on release so less pre order… day 1 received an 18 **ng GB patch..I buy years later cheap with all the dlcs etc and find them alright for the low price…glad to see your review is back on the search engines! cheers
I thought I was just going insane when I couldn't make E my interact key. It was triggering me so hard
That sound bug is driving me mad where the sound cuts out and you can’t hear the npcs talking. Whole cut scenes without audio
this video is back in my subscription feed. Just thought I'd share
cd project joins the ubisofts, activision-blizzards, eas, bethesdas etc
Imagine being so clueless about business as to think the devs weren't under extreme pressure to drop the title now due to shareholders and other business "partners" (like Msoft who have a CP2077 sku for the Xbone) + 7 year cycle + Christmas 2020 + nearing the end of the fiscal year over it simply being "CD PR's choice".
Btw, I am not excusing a shitty product being dumped on end users as this isn't even close to being Ok.
People also need to take some personal responsibility and stop pre ordering/deciding that they love or need a game they've never played because a shiny trailer has been put out.
Always wait until release, read about the bugs/niggles etc. then make a decision as to whether something is worth your hard earned money. Otherwise, you are just engaging in charity (or a less rewarding form of Kickstarter).
