Cyberpunk 2077 Visual Tech Tour – The Maxed Out Next-Gen PC Experience

Never has so much been demanded from one game. Cyberpunk 2077 can push the most high-end of PC hardware and delivers a true next generation experience – and as our upcoming console videos shall reveal, the last-gen PS4 and Xbox One machines struggle to manage, even with a brutally pared back experience. But what has CD Projekt RED achieved at the absolute high-end? Armed with a high-end PC running with an RTX 3090, John Linneman shows you Cyberpunk 2077 at its absolute best: ray tracing, max settings, DLSS, the works.

  1. We can’t let Cyberpunk fail, otherwise it is going to be the end of the single player game. There are far easier way for game developers to make money with better ROI, see apex, pubg, and all the shitty games on mobile. CD project red is of the last few companies that still has class and developing games because of love.

  2. I’ll be more than happy with 4K/60 on my pc , unless i can do 1440p/120 … whichever looks better . Its story mode driven so i prefer really nice visuals and good frame rate. Going to download it and give it a try

  3. me think that ray tracing is not fancy enough to justify the performance loss even on novideo cards
i think that more frames are better than ray tracing at this point
gotta wait 2030 or so when games become fully path traced

  4. Started it with my trusty gtx 980, the result is not worth the title, so stop playing until I can upgrade, but damn, I'm not gonna pay 1000€ for new gpu. If the price is somwhere around 500-600€ I'd be ok with it under the condition to sell my old card to compensate the costs a bit, but by the looks of it, I have to wait for Summer 2021 for this to happen…

  5. Really good looking game. Did notice with DLSS sometimes it bugs out, like after the Maelstrom encounter with heavy rain everything was shimmering. Also, as per death stranding, smaller things (like those time bugs?) leave trailing ghosts, like debris blowing past etc

  6. I hope deus ex push themselves way harder like this nextime
I dont mind a smaller scale and linear gameplay but atleast make the environment as good as this
Deus ex mankind divided miss out on the leveling and ofcourse crowd engagement, combat in deus ex feels too easy

  8. Wow – this is exactly what the cyberpunk is about . Pushing the technology to the limits to bring things that have now been seen before on a game . I don’t know how CDPR manage to allow to public discourse to get so far off track with people being surprised that their 7 year old consols hardware cannot run it like $5k pc . I am still configuring me new pc and did not even attempt to run it on my outdate 5 year old rig. Simple

  9. I play the game on ultra setting RTX on and DLSS Enable for Quality mode. 1080p Resolutions get most time 60 fps around the city, and indoors get 80 fps drop sometimes 70s and 60s back right up to 80. Didnt encounter bugs yet, game never crash on me. Just start play this game with 1.04 version of the game. Only thing notice is pushing my gpu almost to max usage like 98% on RTX 2070 super. CPU usage goes max 60% i7 7700k 8 gen. I think the reason have so good performance is the nvme ssd samsung 1tb pro plus is doing the work. The game load really fast, even on tutorial failing the mission load very fast to repeat the missions. Speed from ssd make huge impact to load textures in game and loading screens.

  10. I know it's blasphemous. But I wonder if the game feels fine and playable at 30fps rock solid with Vsync on. Because then maybe can play at 4K with absolute max settings and even Psycho lighting on for RT…
Consoles do it all the time, even still on the next-gen ones..
This is not a competitive shooter, which I then want 120fps etc.

Now if it has that jarring stutter feel it's out of the question. But I know some games actually can feel smooth enough with Vsync..

For me it's all about visuals.
