Cyberpunk 2077 is here and it’s been released on every Xbox platform available. While the Xbox Series X|S seems to be running the Xbox One version of the game fairly well, the base versions of the game have some concerning performance issues on both PlayStation and Xbox. These are our first findings on the Xbox family of consoles and the results have several concerning findings on the base consoles.

  1. Well at least everybody gets a free next gen upgrade, when the consoles become readily available. As a PS5 owner, you're not missing much anyway. Technical issues aside, the game is closer to The Outer Worlds than The Witcher 3 in terms of quality and fun factor.

  2. I have PS4 slim, I’ve had 1 crash over 30 hours of play, 2 or 3 glitches that I’ve noticed but haven’t been detrimental to gameplay. The only thing I notice is res drop in bust scenes to 720p.
Over all I love the game, but it plays far better on the ps5, can’t wait for next gen patch!

  3. I put it on a SSD for my base xbox and it seems to help a lot, I'm no where near as choppy as the footage shows, It still struggles in some spots and crashes but after 14 hours ish of gameplay I still really like the game.

  4. Cyberpunk 2077 was first announced back in 2012. What have they been doing for the last 8 years while this game was in development ? This seems like a rushed release for sure. How are you going to have a AAA game in 2020 with below 720p resolution and frame-rates in the mid-teens ? That was the PS3/360 days. Remember RDR2 was launched on the PS4/XB1. Let that sink in for a minute.
