Cyberpunk 2077's Launch Failures Cause Developers Stock to Plummet – IGN Daily Fix

The bad news keeps rolling in for Cyberpunk 2077. The widespread issues with the last-gen console version may be the cause of developer CD Projekt Red’s stock drop. In other gaming news, The Game Awards were last night! Aside from the actual awards themselves, there were plenty of reveals like a new Perfect Dark, a new Mass Effect, and our first look at Back 4 Blood. In movie news, Disney shared a presentation for their investors yesterday, which featured a TON of news on the upcoming phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And that’s not all: Lucasfilm announced new Star Wars series for Disney Plus and an official announcement of their first theatrical film since The Rise of Skywalker. It’s your Daily Fix!

  1. Considering games like TLOF 2, Red Dead, Assassin's Greed Valhalla and Ghost of Tsushima my expectations where set high for these AAA titles and these teams know there stuff. And after the cyberpunk team sweetened us with awsume Trailers and game play one might have think this is it finally the industry can deliver Games worth of its costs and hype. When u bay a vehicle you expect the vehicle to be complete as one might have seen it. We have games on the ps2 and first xbox that looks better than this. Why are we even considering to down grade our expectations after playing world class games up to this day. Cyberpunk story wise looks awesome. But graphics and performance does matter. And it's a shame that they even publish this kind of stuff. Poor management and directing. This is us (gamers), we keep this awesome industry afloat. We do not settle for any thing less. I GAMER..

  2. This and the fact that everyone owns the same few books, everyone drives the same few cars. People say the same things every time you pass by them, the same 4 posters everywhere. Does make me wonder where the time was spent because it wasn't on the asset variation or testing lol

  3. Honestly, they should have stopped production on the PS4/Xbox One version the moment they realized that the hardware limitations of those consoles would give the game an average frame rate of about 15-20FPS at sub 720p and instead put more effort into developing the Xbox Series X/PS5/PC versions for a much higher quality game and less bugs overall.

  4. Despite working through the entirety of the last generation CDPR was unable to deliver a game that fundamentally functions. Not to mention the terrible 2005 AI.
If I were an investor I’d put my money elsewhere too. They’re clearly less competent than their competition.

  5. "FailureS"? What are you talking about? I can barely stop playing Cyberpunk 2077 to eat and watch some videos on YouTube.
You can't compare a couple of funny glitches to the festival of save-corrupting issues we've experienced in other AAA games lately.

Yes, I know console players are having way more trouble than the rest of us. I'm afraid I don't care.
They should've known better than to even try playing such a heavy game on such platforms.
Argue as much as you want but, consoles still aren't better than PCs when it comes to performance and cooling.

  6. Only nice stuff that got revealed is Callisto protocol, that's it. Nobody cares about a new perfect dak made by xbox game studios, they destroy franchises, just ask coalition and 343i and post nintendo rare yike !

  7. Really disappointed in CDPR, all the hype has gone because i can't even play the game on PC. More than meet all the min specs, everything up to date, yet still the game crashes my entire PC every 5 mins. Never had such a bad xp my whole gaming life of 30 years. This is supposed to be a AAA developer, not a 3 man indie team. Absolutely shocking

  8. So if there were series x and ps5 in stock, and we were able to play this game on next gen, would we be having the same problem? Just saying, but we were outraged when the game was delayed, enough to send death threats apparently, but when the game is released, cause its not in a state that we expect we are outraged, but justifiably. There has to be some compromise, otherwise we stop pre-ordering or watching content creators who make these opinions for us, or we come to a conclusion that company's start being more transparent with their product
