  1. Spoilers For People Who haven't Completed the Prologue

ive seen so many people say he is Aether from the future which may be true but if people picked Lumine in the beginning, Aether is a part of the abyss so that may not be true

  2. Traveller: "hello, I'm adventurer from guild"

    Dain: …

    Traveller: "hello I'm the knights"

    Dain:….

Traveller: "ugh fine. I am a traveller"

    Dain: "why are you travelling?"

He just waiting for us to be honest with who we are

  3. Lumine was sent 500 years ago from the unknown god and was there when the honkai happened beacuse Khatri was developing too much and so the archon went to stop them causing the war (lumine is still around) and so the people of Khatri became hilichurls but dainslief was the only survivor teaming up with her beacuse lumine sees it as people fighting a country for no reason and so they took dainslef, lumine and abyee together teamed up that’s properly one reason why dansief knows lumine and then around 500 years ago lumine became evil and he is the god of time so he went to the future and to warn us he knew that lumine is on top of that cliff but he doesn’t want to directly tell us like the line ‘show me that your worthy to save her’ is prove of that the reason why dainslef does not have a vion is with the war and so the archon are properly forbidden to give him a vision

  4. i have a feeling that the sibling we play as actually got sent forwards in time bc according to the character summary, when the two twins arrived onto teyvat, the entire world was up in flames.
I also dont think that time passes differently for Dainsleif, this is bc when you poke around a bit you can find out that venti was actually active 500 years ago aswell as 1000 years ago, so i think dainsleif just knew this while everyone else didnt

  6. I actually have a very different theory: I think there will be a plot twist, where the Archons are revealed as the villains.

Dainsleif talks about how his traveling partner no longer travels, and this partner is probably Lumine. Lumine leads the abyss order, shown in a cutscene, Dainsleif hates the abyss order. This is why they separate: Dainsleif had a large disagreement with Lumine over the abyss order.

Why was there a disagreement? There is another theory that the people of Khaenri’ah were corrupted (by the Alchemist Gold, like Durin). The theory is that the abyss order is the corrupted people of Khaenri’ah. By the insignias that Dainsleif wears and the Teyvat Travails, Dainsleif is from Khaenri’ah and has not been corrupted like the rest of his countrymen. He hates that Lumine is basically turning his corrupted people into mindless weapons.

But why did Lumine decide to weaponize the abyss order? Something must have happened during her and Dainsleif’s travels to cause this. We know that Dainsleif has a strong dislike to the archons (trailers and dialogue). Why? There must have been some kind of hidden truth he sees, something Lumine sees with him.

What can this be? The False Sky. In the travails, Dainsleif makes it seem as though the archons/gods are puppeteering the world from their positions in celestia, and this makes sense, as astrology, or studying the skies, tells the future. If the future is not certain, how would you see it? Only explanation is that the future is already set, set by the archons. Dainsleif and Lumine realize that all the horrors in Teyvat were planned to occur by the Archons to maintain a balance of good and evil. To fight this, Lumine turns to the abyss, and Dainsleif disagrees.

Here’s why I think that the archons being villains are very plausible: 1st, they’re all named after demons (morax, baal, barbatos, even paimon); 2nd, in the Chinese voice dub, “Archon” becomes “魔神” (mo shen). 魔神 does not translate to Archon, however; it translates to “Demon God”. Why would the archons be demonic unless mihoyo wants to tell us something?

  7. Sorry for the bad english, but I have my theory, based on the past history of the battle pass and Teyvat trailer:

In the battle pass, it is said that there was a first heiress born in Celestia (probably) and who came down to earth with the mission to find the Pearl of Genesis (?) that was in the Kingdom of Darkness, but that along the way she corrupted herself, and began to believe that she was the Queen of the Kingdom of Darkness. It is said soon after that, having failed in her mission, a second heir took her place and was assigned to finish her incomplete mission.

1 – I believe that the first heir is the Unknown God that separates you from your sister.
2 – Dainsleif would be the second heir, assigned to finish the mission originally from Unknown God.
3 – Both Unknown God and Dainsleif are siblings, since both are heirs of the same kingdom.
4 – Dainsleif's partner was probably Lumine, but seeing what his objectives were, and the way he intended to complete his mission, she decided to "separate" herself from him, maybe to complete the same mission, but using other methods.

In Teyvat's trailer where is portrayed all the chapters of the game, there are 2 sentences that Dainsleif speaks:

"My memory has all but faded completely… but I will always remember how much she TOO loved these flowers".
"Defeat me, command me to step aside, show me that you are worthier than I to rescue her".

5 – Bearing in mind that at the beginning of the trailer is shown a field of flowers (which are very similar to the flower that Lumine uses in her hair), and the emphasis he gives on "…she TOO…", gives to understand that he is referring to someone other than Lumine, being possibly the Unknown God, remembering that both are heirs of the Kingdom of Celestia, so they are probably siblings. It draws a parallel between their journey and ours (since in both cases, one brother is in search of saving the other).
6 – Finally, the second sentence shows that, at the end of the game, it will be decided which of the journeys will have a happy ending…. ours or theirs.

Feel free to discuss this theory with me.

  8. Dain being Elder Paimon?! HELL NO MAN!
This is not Paimon, but rather Aether from an alternative timeline, where Lumine is found but Future Aether couldnt rescue her. When Aether 1 fights all alone the Unknown Goddess in the future, he gets defeated yet again. From there, he is send back in time, where he possesses the true information about the Abyss Order’s Boss (aka Lumine). So, Dain is Aether from the future, after his sister dies by the hand of Unknown Goddess. The different appearance is because of the rage that consumed OUR Aether’s bright colours to more darker and bluer costume, eyes and even eyepatch!

  10. I'm curious on why does dainsleif's cap look exactly like paimon's(the stardust coming down from it)

also i'm thinking that dainsleif is the traveler from the future or something, their dialogues a re quiet similar + dainslief kept mentioning about his companion while looking at paimon- it just gives me those kind of vibes

  11. Ok so we can confirm that the twins are old enough to drink. Also I personally think that Paimon and Dainsleif are of the same species which is why they both have stray capes and act as traveling companions.

  12. Imagine someone not spending his primogems just to save for Dainsleif
knowing Dainsleif is a very very important character of Mihoyo
more likely being playable character is after 3-4 years

  13. Imma just say this rn we might find our siblings before inuzuma…why? Cause during the quest he says after he finds her they'll find a place to live 1.6 has housing or its speculated and dain and paimon are probably both the voices for our travellers XD

  14. The reason why the sibling Male or Female is willing to side with the abyss order is they share the same goals Dainsleif mentioned that the abyss order want to create a world without the archons and Lumine/Aether would most likely want to destroy the archons the very beings that took everything away from her and Lumine/Aether most likely traveled with Dainsleif and they parted ways since Lumine joined the abyss order and you can see that Dainsleif had a hatred for the abyss order and most likely parted ways
