  1. I started playing WOW a month and half ago, last time I played was when the burning crusade came out … what was it 2007? and the game has changed a lot from then and I started playing because all this pandemic and shit that is going down. I've been furloughed for like 3rd month now so when to play wow if not now ?

  2. I feel like the people who pick their covenant based on what is the best are in for disapointment, as blizzard are bound to buff/nerf those that are too weak/too strong. What hapoends when that covenenant isn't the stringest anymore? Suddenly you are stuck with a covenant that you don't really like AND which doesn't have a tactical advantage

  3. I picked my covenant in large part due to Wowhead….I'm just not ever going to be a high end raider; I'm not a super-star player and I want the advantages to play where I can find them. We're in week 3 and I already feel behind….and that sucks. But the more I settle into my undead beast master hunter with Night Fae, I just LIKE Night Fae best. I enjoy the nature theme, the mushroom mycelium thing is cool…the goddess-figure leader… Kyrians are arrogant slave owners and Venthyr are sadists in a way that is less appealing than I thought would appeal to my inner goth. I want the gear, but fsck those guys and their tea. When I do an alt, I'm actually gonna pledge Necrolord. Undead all the way, slime is also cool.

  4. I think the numbers are good due to covid. No other MMO release this year, friends talking into their old wow friends into playing, and blizz packed the start of the expansion with tons of mounts. A couple of my casual friends came back to the game and they love how many mounts they are getting. We need to check back in a month or two once everyone gets to endgame.

  5. I just would like the covenants to be more flexible amongst different specs, I play Frost Mage and Venthyr is best ST, yet Nightfae drops a good chunk in ST but gets some AoE but will never use in a ST situation as Frost, I also want to play Fire and Arcane but then I would need to be Night Fae sooooo I don't know I feel like am kinda stuck atm. Frost is my main anyways but I like to have the most damage and abilities for ny other specs as well

  6. Last night, I unlocked my mission table and, while I watched the construction cut scene, I had intense deja vue. It took a bit but I realized where I did all this before: WoD. We're just building our garrisons. At least this time they're doing tradeskills better.

  7. On my main, I was torn between two covenants, but picked the one which I found more fun to play. I did check meta just to be sure it was not a terrible unplayable choice for my class – in which case I'd have picked the other one – but that was not the case.

I LOVE the abilities being tied to the covenant. I'd not be the same, for me, if you get to freely pick the abilities – you'd just check meta. I think it would just be another talent row, with no flavour on them.

  8. I wish I could have chosen the covenant and powers separately. It's frustrating to me that I chose the covenant (NF) because I like the story and area but the power isn't great for my class (destro lock).

  9. I was lucky with Druid that the thematic choice also happened to be the best choice for me: Night Fae. It's probably not the best for Balance, but I switch from Resto to Balance and back on a regular basis. I just literally did 2 M+ yesterday and each in a different spec. And on top of that I was lucky that Balance and Resto each uses a different soulbind. But if that wasn't the case I would be pissed.

  10. I made my covenant choice (BM hunter, Nightfae) based on power, but couldn't get used to the baby voice-acting and overall theme, so in week 2 I switched to Kyrian. While the AoE ability of Nightfae is much more useful, I don't miss it that much and the steward is nice, too. Resonant Arrow sucks… I don't really know how to use it without agro-ing mobs unintentionally.

  11. Covenants suck. I hate the long cool downs. And even though there is an illusion of choice there really isn’t for some specs almost everyone of my characters I’ve chosen to play I’ve had to pick Kyrian because that’s the “best choice”. So far I’m not impressed with the covenants or their abilities it all just feels like filler to me. Also I find torghast to be a snore fest.

  12. Oh yes, I totally wanted to pick Kyrian with my affliction wl. Fits the class phantasy so well. No for real, wtf blizz? What is this shit? Let me be Venthir or at least Necrolord without sucking so hard ffs.

  13. I picked my best covenant for my class/spec. I do not like that they tied player power to covenants personally. I did not want to be a druid fire mage. I mean night fae. That being said night fae has grown on me, its just not great class fantasy for me. New pvp vendor system and a rock solid (imo) design on the raid are the highlights of this expac for me.

  14. This is about people’s entertainment choices being severely limited. It isn’t particularly about quality at all…yet. The proof of SL being actually good will come when we see if people stay subbed past March/April when new six month subs will run out and the weather warms up and vaccines have been partially rolled out.

  15. I’ve been playing since the beginning so real life has had a impact on how much time I can play. I have become pretty attached to my characters so I chose a covenant based on how I play them. For me this is one of the best expansions, I really like being able to log in and have a goal in mind to get what I want for my character. I am enjoying the story line, yes it is a bit complex but to me it has a game of thrones feel to it with all the factions. Anyway keep up the good work I enjoy your channel

  16. I'm okay with the "Slow burn". It just seems that this is the buggiest xpac blizz has released for WoW. Also I switched from Kyrian to Night Fae on my MM hunter after seeing Warcraftlogs rankings.

  17. 9:30 My choices are mostly what I want.
I've set my druid Night Fae and my paladin Kyrian. There was no power consideration in the decision.
The warlock had to choose between Venthyr and Necrolord (both ideologies fitting that class). Wowhead said Destro can use Necrolord as the second best covenant in Raid/M+ settings. Now I just need to decide who I make Venthyr.
I'll apply this warlock algorithm when picking my covenant for the next alts. "What 2 covenants are fit for this class lorewise?" (or "Does this class belong to this covenant and no other?") then "Which one is better in terms of power?".

  18. Was dreading becoming a necrolord because the theme didn't appeal to me, but not only is the title pretty BA but there aren't a lot of us in comparison to other covenants so it kind of makes me feel empowered, especially since strength is so important to the residents of Mal.

  19. Idk, I haven't bothered buying shadowlands yet. If they keep moving the game in the right direction and away from the model that they started pushing towards back in MoP/WoD, then I might get back into it in the next expansion. But as for right now, I'm happy with classic and will probably play TBC if that ends up being announced, at least until then.

  20. Balance druid. I picked Night Fae because of class fantasy – the fact it is the best pick is just a plus… I honestly with all the abilities were the same across covenants with differing art styles.

  21. Some of us don't play one spec. I casualy play DK. Tank and DPS almost every day. When I got to max level I played frost with Night Fae. Now I don't want to change covenant and just stayed. Currently unholy and blood.

  22. I chose my covenant based on a mix of how the ability felt and how it was performing.. I prefered the necrolord ability for hunter personally, but it was simming way too poorly for me as a raider to consider, along with the fact that I don't personally like the look of NL either. But I did pick nightfae over kyrian because the ability felt better, not because it was slightly better in sims. if kyrian and NF sims were reversed I'd still pick NF

  23. Idc how successful it is. It still sucks. They have no respect for our time so I have no respect for them and their sad excuse for a game. Games are suppose to fun not chores that waste time.
