[Day 1] The Making of Polus (Among Us Map Polus)

There will be multiple progress videos on how I modeled the map. I had snippets here and there and I have over 18 hours of footage, so I had to split them by days. (So it will take a while to render it all out) Plus, this one will be public and the rest of the progress videos will be unlisted (unless you all want me to publish them either way)

I am a “so-so” modeler, so I only somewhat know how to manipulate super simple objects. I worked on C4D when I was 11, so I know how it works. (back in the days I knew how do model, texture and rig a model, but it was sooo long ago)

I plan to publish this map of Polus and hopefully port it to SFM with the help from @Teqlor1 . No need to worry. But will I make other maps? I’m not sure. Skeld and Mira are both ships, so it needs far more planning.. (so please, someone make them, I do not want to suffer “:D)

Honestly, at the start I was frustrated with modeling, but then little by little, I remembered how to do certain things and with that – I started to enjoy making the map. I still have bumps here and there as I quite didn’t know how to make certain things. In the following footage you will be able to see that I was going back on “fixing” it.
