But I haven't heard official sales numbers from Sony on how days gone sold. I just seen days off the best-selling game but that doesn't say much. Just because it's best seller doesn't mean it was profitable for Sony to do a sequel.

Ryan is basically doing what 2014 Xbox did. Cancel games and focusing on entertainment with them trying to cross their aaa games to tv and movies.

Not a fan of ANY of their games myself. But, I wont deny their appeal to others. But still Dirt. The issue we're seeing and that even an XBox guy like myself is having. Is that this so-called "shift" they are placing all bets on. Its at a cost to their own identity.
1st they close up shop and move out to Cali. Pour all love and resources into their US and European studios. Close down almost all the Japanese studios and re-allocate them under 1(Hopefully the GT guys will be good). Causing key heads to pull stakes and leave.
Now they Abandon the thought of having a balanced offering of smaller titles that can fulfill the tastes of a wider audience. Especially those in their own country. And that may appeal to younger gamers.
Yeah, this is really the higher ups not having a damned clue on what the brand's identity is. And chasing down a quick payout. Sucks as we may never see games like White Knight Chronicles. Legend of Dragoon. Sly Cooper. Or Ape Escape. Which Im sure all wouldve been interesting to see running on the new hardware and using the new controller's features.
But I digress. Hopefully they pull the trigger and at least snatch up BluePoint.
The TLOU2 remake makes sense on a business level. The game will sell a lot of copies, win a lot of awards and so on. I would personally rather those resources were put to another new IP, as Days Gone is a average game at best. Sony are still working and investing in new IPs though, and as long as that continues to happen than I’m fine with that. I’ll be waiting for all these games to come to PC though, as there’s zero chance I’m restricting myself to a console ecosystem lol

Days Gone was sabotaged by mainstream media since the start. They didn't like the White male lead hero because it was against the political narrative. That's why woke ign and gamespot destroyed it. They even mentioned about him being a white male lead hero. Normal people don't even see that as an issue. We are trying to play a videogame that is fun. Days Gone was fun and definitely deserved a sequel.
This is why I have yet to buy a next gen console…Waiting to see who has the best games, Sony or Microsoft.

How about a remake of Heavenly Sword since Hellblade Senuas Sacrifice has been bought by Microsoft and Heavenly Sword is still in Sony's library of IP's it would be a great contender. What are your thoughts. Subbed.
