Today we are talking about what a developer recently had to say about the CPU difference between the Ps5 and Xbox Series X. Not only does this developer say there is pretty much no difference between the two, but continues by saying optimization is much more important than raw power. essentially confirming what we have been trying to say this entire time. We also have an update on the upcoming PS5 exclusive Deathloop.

  1. Raw power never has been and never will the most important aspect of development on a console. How many more devs do we need to confirm this? How many more comparisons do we need to see fall in favor of the PS5 to prove the spec sheets don't tell the full story?

  2. I mean sony and the fans argued raw power until it was clear that was never going to be true. Sp of course the goal post gets moved and the narrative changed. It was exclusives but sony has made it clear many more first party titles will make the move to pc so they are technically no longer exclusives. Games like death stranding, days gone and horizon zero dawn are no longer exclusives with then having made the jump to pc and days gone being announced to go to pc.

  3. Developers have to optimise it better when there is less power
What happens down the track when you can’t optimise any further you need more power pony’s don’t get it more is more how can less be more

  4. If you think you have been making valid statements about Microsoft Xbox Series X architecture & Hardware in Comparisons of Sony PS5 then the Optimization of these Early new next gen games that you mentioned that have had performance test vids that you state Sony has Been out preforming Xbox is Real Fake News! Because besides developers receiving Microsoft older build GDK later then Sonys updated GDK and Microsoft then LATER updating their GDK for developers for the Series X/S.. So now your claiming the Optimization of GDK when developing the game for the console is most important and more so then the architecture power of the hardware. When you made videos stating Microsoft whole advertising scheme for Xbox Series X was its the most power console ever and MBG you were boisterously saying Sony PS5 is outperforming Xbox Series X..So do you think Xbox having more hardware features then in it's RDNA that aren't yet being used and optimized by developers is accurately being compared to PS5 RDNA architect and performance..?

  5. The debate about PS5 and Series X is entirely dependent upon how a dev chooses to express themselvs on the given hardware. Playstation is a more attractive option due to the variety of quality games than SX altho SX has a nice broad subscription service…its all up to you as a person. Stupid pple will continue to trash either console.

  6. Artwork, storyline, gameplay ideas, cinematic situations kind of last of us is MOST IMPORTANT OF THAT ALL. I would add the idea of a player to become more powerfull, rich, become a king or a galaxy emperor is important too… People want to feel themselves a winner, experience social growing, new levels of power etc

  7. of course optimization is always important over raw power. but what if many of these game devs dont manage to get the optimization right? we have many situations throughout the years with many unoptimized games. this is where raw power comes into play to where it actually benefits both parties (devs and consumers). if devs cant manage to get certain optimizations right, the raw power will still be able to manage the game. look how the PC was able to prevail with cyberpunk as much of how the game was a total mess with how unoptimized it was. I am not saying the dev is wrong but as a consumer, there are times where these teams are not able to get these optimizations right or simply they are rushed when it comes to it, then us consumers pay for bad performance of games.

  8. All you need to do is have a look at TLOU2. Still not a game that looks better. That fidelity was seen on the PS4 Pro and not the One X. Power & its utilisation goes hand in hand and that makes the difference. Its clear to see
