  1. I've seen tons of creature designs over the years of monsters with propellers for heads. not a new concept in the slightest and a grungy scene with fire and explosions also is'nt original. people will do anything for clout and some cash huh?

  2. This is NOT Capcom's first time stealing someone else's ideas. Please look up Splosion Man from Twisted Pixel Games and compare it to Capcom's rip-off MaXplosion. The original developer was too small to sue Capcom but the similarities put Filip Miucin's antics to shame.

  3. Nothing happened to star trek discovery after they stole so much from, Anas Abdin, Nothing happened to them, so I'm sure Capcom will be fine.

    Justice for, Anas.

  4. Honestly, this whole game feels like like RE and more like a first-person Castlevania with all the monster movie references, and this seems like just another monster. They at least should have given this guy some acknowledgement for using his creation.

  5. I can see how the 2 guys look similar, i can see the back housing ofr the propeller looks different on the RE8 monster but i dont think it is enough to pass the smell test so I can see how the Frankenstein's Monster director could have a potential lawsuit here. I mean the similarities are pretty stark if you ask me. I mean they arte THE EXACT SAME outside of the propeller motor being slightly different.

  6. Honestly, I really don't take the RE as serious anymore. When they decided to start from scratch and make the new installments first person exclusively, I just stopped taking them serious. These games don't even feel resident evil anymore, basically just an outlast zombie game. There's a reason the RE remakes still outsell these newer games. Hope they lose the lawsuits if any come up.

  7. I'm sure Capcom has armies of Lawyers to deal with stuff like this. It's tough to side on this one though, because clearly there's some SERIOUS "inspiration", but unless Capcom claims total originality and even so far as to claiming the name of the movies creature, I don't see this as resulting in anything more than just that, "inspiration".

At the end of the day the video game industry is a corporate entity in they have to market it somehow. The horror genre is a finicky and narrow fanbase and it's common for tropes and "inspirations" to "mix".

  8. hmmm…the designs are very similar for sure. even with small differences like resi creature having no arms and the weak spot in back. while the movie version has arms and the weak spot was to cut off the wires. iam not sure if a lawsuit here would win because designs can be similar but not exactly the same. if that were the case everyone would be suing each other like crazy. in the music industry many lawsuits fail and some win if you can prove the songs are exactly the same. a similar beat with a different rhythm wont win. how many alien ripoff movies were made where the alien creature looked similar to the giger alien? no one was sued. hence why i say it must be exact in order to warrant a lawsuit.
