Truly I love my Ps5 and Xbox Series X but would they have been better with an extra few months of development time or any small delay? Lets talk about that.

#PS5 #PlayStation5 #Scalpers

This week while talking to ModernVintageGamer on the Spawncast with SpawnWave he mentioned again that he thinks the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X should have been delayed. Now that I have had a chance to think about it I believe he may have been right. Lets talk about the console shortages, PS5 scalpers, the glitches with no PlayStation 5 update patches to fix them, and the lack of NEW games until later this year in another DreamcastGuy rant.

  1. I think I'm in a small camp. I'm glad I upgraded to the PS5 near launch. My fiance and I split the cost to get one. Then I was able to sell my PS4 Pro locally for $280, and I put that towards a second one for her. The SSD and improved network speeds continue to impress me. I missed a lot of PS4 games due to life events working from, moving into a new house etc. I played through Ghost of Tsushima for the first time on my PS5 at 60FPS, and it was glorious. I agree that the PS5 isn't worth what it's currently being scalped at, but there's a lot of reasons to own one. I don't necessarily agree with current game prices. PS+ has been great. So far I've already saved over $100 by not buying Control Ultimate Edition and Destruction Allstars. Good luck if you're still looking for one!

  2. Exactly why I haven’t bought a ps5 yet besides the fact I’m broke af lol. I’ve learned that it’s Not a real smart idea to buy a new console in the first few months of its launch. Shout out to all the beta testers out there paying scalpers thousands of dollars to test the console for Sony and Microsoft lmao 😂. This cycle has been extra strange tho I def see your point.

  3. I don´t understand how people expect next gen consoles to release with 10-15 games, when the install base is huge on current gen consoles. This is just whining at this point. We will get the great triple A games when they are ready to release. I think people forget about how much the pandemic have pushed development on multiple games. If ps5 and xbox series x had been out for two years, and we still didnt have any new triple a games, then I can understand people frustration. JUST WAIT!!!!!!! BTW, the reason I mentioned the install base being huge on current gen consoles, is for people to just stop whining about games releasing on crossgen. I think people forget about how video game business works.

  4. In many cases specifically Microsoft got screwed by developers. 303 said they had a working halo which they didn't. Remedy didn't finish cross fire x single player on time, medium got delayed, cyberpunk team said they will have working game and deliver series x version by January it was big marketing for Microsoft and we know how that work out. Same with Far cry got delaye. Only thing saved Microsoft and series x is game pass, and ea play expension

  5. I agree they should have been delayed by at least six months to build up stock and have more games ready and I say that as someone who has a ps5 got it just before Christmas and my Xbox series x is coming this coming Monday.

  6. I love my PS4 and vita, etc. but I finally bought a Switch in June 2020 (had to search daily but I found one on Best Buy site) and I love it. I'm begining to go back to my Nintendo roots permanently. Growing up (I'm 41 now) my family was a Nintendo family. At least when I get a Switch game, it's not rattling around. Thanks for the video.

  7. We don’t have to sound like spoiled kids.
Covid situation just messed the whole schedule ( hardware production , games , updates , …)
So people having a PS5 should be happy and the others should be patient. But no one should complain.
