A Ferrari for the forest? The Lancia Stratos must have looked like a spaceship when it rolled up to the starting line for the first time in the 1974 season of the World Rally Championship. With its mid-engine RWD layout and short wheelbase its safe to say the Stratos was a tricky so and so to handle. But despite this it was a winner! Winning 3 consecutive championships in ’74 ’75 and ’76 with bjorn Waldergard at the helm.
