Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X have been out for a while now and I have seen more and more people regretting getting the consoles at launch. Was the launch of PS5 and Xbox Series X pre-mature? I would LOVE to have more big games to play on these expensive consoles and I hope things get exciting for those platforms again soon! Let me know what you think in the comment section!

The PS5 is going great especially with the Spider-Man miles morales and Spider-Man PS5 and I want more games coming out on the next gen consoles. so far in my opinion the PS5 is great but I wished that they could add more games coming out on the next gen consoles.
I’ll be waiting for a while. I don’t enjoy having to battle for one online. Gran Turismo being delayed made me need it even less.
Price of early adoption
this is actually a good topic. i told friends last summer that no one needed the new consoles until next year. ppl were still gonna buy them bc they want them and that’s fine. i’m happy some can finally experience extremely great graphics and frames and real faster loading speeds. the games for these consoles will come. being an early adopter can have its negatives but i bet you if some of them went back to previous gen consoles and dealt with the loading, they’d be happy they got the new new.
Good Video Gabe. Very Snazzy new effects and transitions. I do miss the old logo but glad to see this
I don't regret getting my PS5 at launch. Miles Morales and Spider-Man Remastered were incredible experiences on the new hardware. Demon's Spuls is a lot of frustrating fun. I really like getting the third-party cross-gen games that run better. I'll be ready when this generation really starts rolling with game releases. And I've got enough of a backlog to tide me over until more next-gen games come out, especially now that I've finally jumped into Persona 5 Royal. And I love the controller; it is the first Playstation controller that I've loved. The Dualshock 4 was a step in the right direction for me, but as someone who preferred the feel of Xbox controllers, the Dualsense is darn near perfect for my liking.
I mean in 3 years when the PS5 actually has games there will be a PS5 pro.
If i had bought a PS5 rn for $500 i'd be incredibly po'd
I honestly see no reason to buy a PS5 until it gets a massive pricedrop like when the PS4 was $200. It's just not worth it right now at all unless you have $500 to burn.
Still can't find one lol
I see both sides however Im of those who waited to get the revision eventually since that memory storage is laughable and I still had ps4 games I wanted to play that play well enough on the ps4
PS5 = Big NO! / XSX = Oh YES! The Gamepass catalogue feels so empty. Even if i convert 3 years of Live Gold into Ultimate, i do not sense immediate fun/added value.
I'm happy overall because I really enjoyed Astros playroom and Miles Morales and I know that I would have bought one eventually anyways. Plus I have a pretty good ps4 backlog
wait you couldn't beat the easiest souls game so you quit? Smh You know there's coop right?
Just put my name on a list of waiting for PS5's to come in, they said maybe 5 months to wait at least
I don't really have much to add to the conversation since I opted to not purchase either at the time. I don't really understand why people would feel it too much though because it's not like they lied about a bunch of new exclusives. Everyone values their money differently. The video looks nice though! I miss the intro but the new sub promotion looks nice as well
Not me I’m happy!
I feel that people were saying the same thing to me when i got an XBox One X . My og & 360 took a crap and I have a huge XBOX library. So just that alone was worth it to me, being able to play all of my old xbox stuff in better resolutions. But in the case of the PS5 you will be getting good games in the future. People are always going to have interesting opinions on the internet. Anyways I'm Glad you're enjoying your PS5.
I can't really say I'm regretting buying a PS5, but I can definitely tell anyone who is currently really struggling to get one;
Don't be too bummed out, you really aren't missing out on a world of games at the moment. I played through the few games I really wanted to play and now I've just been playing Hollow Knight from my PS+ backlog that surely would've played exact same on a PS4.
What's mostly there are PS4 games that run at higher frames… it's nice, but for all the games you've already played, it's not that much of a factor to go revisit. (Well, maybe Ghost of Tsushima in 60fps, after a while)
Hopefully by the time when the more-PS5ish-titles (though almost all are also released on PS4) start flowing in, everyone has managed to grab one.
TL;DR No remorse here, but I recognize it wouldn't really have been a "must have".
Luckily I lucked out in an online store queue and never paid a scalper a single dime. (Wouldn't have even considered it.)
I also put some small amounts of money to the side during the last year or so, so when it finally released it was an easy "spare cash" dedicated for that and I didn't really feel like I had to sacrifice anything for it.
Especially now that I've quit smoking and drinking – in comparison that feels like a miles better purchase.
As a PS5 owner, I can confidently say I could have waited. I expected games like Ratchet much earlier given it was discussed as a “launch window” game. However, I don’t really regret buying one because I’d be purchasing it later this year anyway.
Halo Infinite would’ve made XSX day one for me. Now I don’t care
I have had a ps5 for a month, only complaint is the controller already going 🤦🏻♀️
I went from a PS4 slim to a PS5. Also I just started playing Sony stuff last year so I’m still playing catch-up on a ton of exclusives over the years I never got to play. I love mine and have such a massive backlog that I can’t think of a single reason to complain.
Hi Gabe ☺️😉
Did u ever play kirby air ride ?? For gamecube. Imagine they make a new version for the switch uhh 🥺
I got my PS5 on day 1 and I haven’t felt any buyers remorse. There are better versions of many other games beyond the exclusives, some of them significantly so like No Mans Sky. Maybe if there wasn’t the option of backwards compatibility and the 25 or so great AAA games that come free with PS5 and plus? I don’t know… I have plenty to play on my PS5.
