Does PC Tuning Matter? – Escape From Tarkov

This video goes through the unboxing of the new PC, built by the folks over at Stince Built: https://www.stincebuilt.com/onepeg/ and then a tuning of the PC by FoVeS – http://fovespersecond.com

If you’d like to see the PC build, you can find it in the above link.

I don’t expect everyone to have the budget laying around to afford a brand-new-tech PC build, but I obtained my first “new tech” PC in my life this past weekend and… I wasn’t impressed at first.

However, after going through a lot of tweaks provided by FoVeS for my machine, I was much, much happier.

I APPRECIATE YOU ALL!

LIVE EVERY DAY ON TWITCH starting at 7:30-8AM EST – https://www.twitch.tv/onepeg

I hope you enjoy the vid!

  1. Meanwhile Im over here still waiting on the regular ol' 3080 to show up on my doorstep like it seems to have happened to everyone else…. and uhhh need a little more clarification with the virtual/logical cores for those of us that wouldnt touch an intel processor if you paid us. Hyperthreading has yet to be a hinderance on me, and windows game mode has proven to me that it should be uninstalled lmao, but I still love all the info that I can get because there is always room for improvement, so please, a little clarification.

  2. getting the same fps with the 3070ti. want to see what my old 1080 still does on light house. just upgraded so want to bench both and decide to either keep or send back the 3070ti / wait for the next gen / or snagging a 3080ti. honestly the 1080 is still a beast for every game out there besides playing DCS in VR.

  3. Peg, do you have a link to you Bios OC settings? running a 10850k and they seems to OC differently than the old 46704690k's – I pushed those to 5.1 -5.2 on 1.4v and kept my place toasty all winter haha. these newer gen cpu's are kind of crazy, would like to see what I could learn from yours.

  4. damn 4000 dollars for 60fps… that sucks dick. nikita really needs to optimize the game better.
i run it on a decent rig and i get 30fps on reserve. 60fps maybe.
everything on low. and nvidia 3d set to performance.

  5. Watched part of the video and yeah its all advertising for a "PC optimization ($90 just to change settings) and custom PC builder" service

C'mon Onepeg, you're the one we love! Don't let yourself get duped into doing dumb advertising for some dumbshit

  6. Just so I understand, Tarkov benefits more from the real cores not the threads. So you went into bios and turned off hyper threading and that gave you a boost to 160+ FPS?? Also turning some in game settings on or off but mostly was from hyperthreading????

  7. 5k$ for a PC because it has one 3080 is absurd. My fucking 600$ 1050Ti computer runs tarkov if i had a 3060 I'd get similar performance only thing that improves tarkov fps is ram not CPU or GPU only RAM. I am thinking of going 64gb ram abd will post proof that a 1050Ti is also capable of 90fps

  8. Frames are the Tarkov meta.

I run an old PC that barely does 30 FPS at 1080p 60 Hz monitor and everything is set to low. Scopes with magnification? Forget about it. Close quarter combat? Not on the 15 frames I get when it kicks off. I can't control recoil on those frames cause everything is stuttering. So, I can't long range people, I can't CQC, the only thing I have are mid-range engagements. The only way to do both is lower resolution which hurts to look at and limits distance visibility, i.e. I can't see people that are farther away cause they get lost in all them pixels.

All that is about to change.

With the exception of the type of motherboard and the brand of RAM, this exact same rig is heading my way. I'm tempted to tweak it for those 130 FPS, but even holding steady at 90 will be a world of difference for me.

  9. Is there a link to these files and maybe a tutorial which covers that a bit more deeply, especially Bios settings? Having trouble with this Double-Render shit that Tarkov has. Really drops my frames 🙁
