  1. I wonder what will be the rock that hits RIOT in that head that let's them know that their game is a nightmare. They did the same with Wild Rift and now it's struggling to gain any new players. I blame the bootlicking fanboys.

  2. Hello, it's me, that devil's advocate that you spoke of. So people who want you to lose cause people who flame and vice versa. If it's your first week, you can assume no one wants you to lose, it's just when you get to platinum when people should probably know better.

  3. ARAM only ftw! Since ceasing all games on summoners rift about 5 years ago, my friends and I have never had so much fun playing league. You rarely encounter toxicity, and everything is just about how much fun can we have with the team comp RNGesus has blessed us with.

  4. Posting a story from reddit is the farthest away from the definition of the word "fact" that I've seen. If you read that story you see that the guy took his newb brother with his main acc to duo. Ofc the newb landed on games with high level players…. Doesn't take a genius to understand why…That guy who wrote the story defines the word "stupid" in the dictionary.

  5. See a couple of others, but overall an unpopular opinion I guess: League of Legends is fun. Started a little over a year ago.
Friendly to new players? No. Of course not. A lot of the most enjoyable games in the world aren't. This is because they have depth to them and seemingly minor decisions can have major consequences. People love to complain about the 10/0 hyper carry monstrosity but ignore the fact they rotated early to a fight or placed vision that allowed for a play later. In situations where your team is the problem. Just accept it and move on. It's a game. I've had plenty of games where I won lane, most gold in game and still my team just had no idea how to handle anything and I quickly accept it's a loss but I played well enough so I don't care. People being toxic in chat. Yeah it's a problem and present in a lot of games but I don't know what else to tell you other than just ignore them. I don't want to sound too dismissive with this but honestly I don't understand how people still care about what other random people you'll never see type to them. They are the idiot for caring so much, don't join them and care about what they're typing.
My advice, this is what I did:
-Play ARAM until you're confident with the mechanics.
-Play Draft until you're confident with the role(s).
-Play Ranked when you want more of a challenge OR play Flex 5v5 for a great time with friends when you've all got time.

. . . all of that said, don't play just because of the show. You will be disappointed watching your favorite character get stomped repeatedly while you learn.

  6. I've first started playing League 10 years ago but in the last 2 years only played TFT and I'm good lol
Am I the only one wanting to see a video of Rav giving TFT a try?

  7. Ok, but Wild Rift is better :). (Maybe partially because it's harder to type on a phone) I miss the champs and some of the things taken out (like pink and blue wards), but the reduction in toxicity is more than worth it.

  8. Instead of polluting my hard drive with this undeletable client for the second time – I decided it's a good idea to collect rewards through free geforce now streaming.

And despite having 1 loss 3 victories in my match history, the missions are still at 0 wins, 1 loss. Because matches just don't end before free 30 minutes of streaming expire.

Oh, it's so awful to play in even the same team as lvl 200 smurfing yone. Almost as much as rejoining 20 minutes into the match, and realizing that you're still level 1.

  9. I remember way back 2014 times. I had just learned about lol from my friends who had been playing for a year or two and I wanted tojoin them. I played a few games got shat on, had no idea wtf was going on tried to get better but failed. I quit for a few months but I stumbled upon videogame dunkey who played a lot of league andmade some good content. He drew me back in instantly. Right at the time season 5 gotreleased. I still wasnt very good but the more I learned about the universe the more i got sucked into it. Here we are today 8 years later still playing this toxic shithole of a game admiring everything that isnt gameplay.

  10. I strictly play PBE only. It’s still toxic but it’s less than “regular” league. Point is he’s right don’t play this game if you watched and like arcane. Your blood pressure will thank you.

  11. Y’know… if smurfing wasn’t a thing, New players would be playing with New players. So the self-conscious Smurfs wouldn’t have to babyrage when they get someone who doesn’t know what they’re doing….

  12. What I'm about to tell you isnt made up or sth. It is a personal experience that I have since I stopped playing League

About 4-5 weeks ago, I had issues with my grandpa's health and lost interest to the game because of it. My anxiety for grandpa's health grew day by day, until he eventually gave in to his health problems and passed away. After that I lost a complete interest for a good 2 week period. Prior to all that happening, I just grinded games with Darius, just because I had fun with him. After all that, I didn't even want to turn on my PC. I started listening to more and more music to calm my anxiety and played the guitar more. I actually got A LOT better at the instrument and started getting away from the feeling "If I get one note wrong I'm gonna lose and they are gonna swear at me", commonly referred as flaming. I started feeling a lot happier, made a few friends here and there and I got the self-confidence to talk to a girl that is WAY OUT of my league. I feel like after stopping the game, not completely but playing a lot less, made me "regain" my life after 11 f-ing years !

Something similar happened to Uberdanger and he talked about it and the fact that he needed to keep making Youtube videos.

  13. thank fuck i stopped playing this game, its as toxic as twitter or possibly even worse. the game itself is fun but the community is a bunch of adults that refuse to grow the fuck up and instead choose to throw bitch fits at the smallest slight. riot doesnt actually do anything to those who are toxic in behavior and in chat, instead they fuel the flames. the tutorial is shit and playing against bots does nothing to prepare you for highly experienced players with years under their belt. i tried to get some of my friends to play a while back and they all uninstalled that same day.
a good show does not equal a good game when the game is PvP only and there is no balanced match making in the game, there's already plenty of elements in the game to make a complex match making system so there is no excuse not to create one

  14. Yup. But once you know how to play (turn off chat and play for yourself) it can be a fun strategy game. But mostly learning sucks i recommend starting with a friend or something.

  15. this is kinda ironic cause I´m tryna teach two of my friends how to play league, one who is returning to league and another who is new rather than push them away from the game. And boi is it hard lmao cuz the one returning use to be a yuumi main and the other wants to play jinx cuz funny arcane and if we all play together me as a top main cant help much in lane other than verbally 🙃

  16. I disagree because i think you experience this game in a way that is bound to leave you disappointed. Climbing and progressing trough ranked isn't for everybody – just like bare knuckle boxing. I have very similar objections to the game, which is why i play only ARAM and i am enjoying the game a lot. New players can play co-op versus AI for a long time and still find new champs and builds to master.

  17. actually fun fact about wild rift i downloaded it yesterday to check it out and i was playing a bots game today and the alistar on my team for some reason was super toxic to me for being 4/3 calling me shitty and that i don't deserve to play with a skin since i suck so much, he even called me a worthless iron player which is funny cause i don't even play ranked so the fact he thought i was iron was a bit of a compliment for me lmao
but yeah even in wild rift you will encounter toxicity cause people are dumb and they think that if they win a video game their life will magically improve
