  1. This fight is admittedly a puzzle fight โ€” and very often compared to and the precursor of Bed of Chaos. But itโ€™s nowhere near as bad as Bed of Chaos. Itโ€™s at least much more obvious what you are supposed to do to win (i.e., use stealth and the giant ballistas), and the Dragon Godโ€™s eyes give you an indication of your level of detection (yellow -> red when spotted -> attack). So there are visual and environmental cues to guide you. On top of that, the boss attempts to actually attack and interacts with the player, and will definitely kill you with fire breath and melee attacks if you make a mistake. Which I think is integral to making an encounter โ€˜feelโ€™ like a boss fight, as opposed to just a puzzle. Whereas the biggest obstacle in the Bed of Chaos fight was falling to your own demise, while the boss sat around like โ€œIโ€™m a tree.โ€ In any event, I died here a few times myself. Itโ€™s harder than Eso makes it look.

Not the best fight in Demonโ€™s Souls, but the boss is still a visual and audio spectacle. And it gave me a hard time. Well played.
