Cannon Dwarves! Ovdal Kanzon were the premier manufacurers of cannon for the old Dwarven Empire, and were one of the few holds to survive the decline and Greentide. We’ve been isolationist for a long time, more concerned with survival. With many of the goblins now gone, its time to reclaim the mountains!

I'm a bit late, so I don't know if it got explained, but Asra are apparently from a bank of the same name from Silverforge. so you've got the state-funded Silverforge expedition, and the privately funded Asra expedition from the same area.
