  1. What is the gameplay at the start?
    About the video.
    1. I'm more concerned about psychos who'll just choose the worst path and are gonna be happy with it. (Something like SPOILER undertale's genocide run)
    2. From what we saw on the gameplay, I'm guessing that choices which end missions are going to affect the map, the choices we make mid-way will affect only some part of the story. And chocies which are supposed to be quick are going to change literally almost nothing.
    3. At this point I agree with you, 1 person had to quit, second decided to leave, and the third one left for a completely different project. Plus the fact Techland is announcing "exciting" news coming, I think it is almost certain that the story of the sequel is completed.

    Your choices kinda matter, your relations with Johnny and other story characters directly relate to the ending you get.
    There are 6 ending in total – that's not a lot, but still ok.

Unlike CDPR they did the sensible thing, delay the game and keep quite, that gave Techland the time and peace to work on the game and get it the way they want so I do have hope they meant it and are implementing it. The demo was awesome and really got me excited as just in that there were three options that could make a huge difference. I live in hope as the promise sounds amazing and in reality is could be such a memorable game.

  4. Dying light is an Action game in an open world where your strategy comes with thinking on your feet. Having to stop and deal with a wheel of choices would severly disrupt the parkour flow. This is not a Mass Effect melodrama nor a Telltale "Walkie Talkie." The only game I thought got this balance right was "inFamous 2" where you were given a choice to make in sparsely spaced out cutscenes.
    Turning "Dying Light" into hundreds of QTEs would really kill the reflexive adrenalin rush and while I have put over 400 hrs into just romping around in this sandbox just seeing how much you had to "interact" with that stoner in the truck (and the meaningless "you do it or else" dialogue exchanged) looked to me like a real emersion breaker.
    I was So thrilled to see the "Dying Light 2" logo come up on the screen at the 2018 preview but by the end of the presentation I got the feeling that the devs didn't know What they wanted this game to be.
    You don't go into Haram to discuss your feelings. Would you accept this kind of gameplay in Doom?

  5. What's worrying though, it's that if you go back to the first gameplay of the first dying light, the devs talked a lot about player choice being in the game
    In the end game though, not so much…
    It was still a banger of a game, but i won't get my hopes up for player choice in this one
