  1. you can use sorters for babys first main-bus, with 1 field between lanes to branch of by going +1 in elevation.
If you want it scalable, which is currently a pain since you have to delete everything and build it anew to upgrade, use splitters, but those need LOTS of space.
Also: You can stack stuff, like the Labs and building at the poles looks awesome ! ;P

  2. some tips: stacking buildings makes them have automatically higher capacity/production rate. if a sorter doesnt have the ideal room to place items, just extend conveyor by 1 or to 2 and add more sorters. same goes for input. a different way of crossing conveyors is to place a conveyor on the other side and use sorters to lift them up and over. i recommend using a storage building as a buffer for everything because eventually, some stuff will get full and there will come a point where you will need stacks of them just laying around.

  3. @Quill18 Do you realise you can stack buildings? You were talking about space confinement, but if you stack the buildings you can double the production / research facility without needing more space, though I think you would need to stack the belts as well.

  4. I was hoping until the end that you would notice the fact that some buildings stack vertically. It took me some time to catch on as well. Really enjoying the series so far!

  5. One of the things I love about this game is that everything is one a sphere, so spherical geometry becomes a thing: the grid isn't a perfect grid, sometimes there's a little break.

  6. Quill, you should consider two things: 1) you can stack labs (as several people have pointed out) but more importantly
    2) you should use storage systems rather than just busing on conveyer belts. The blue cubes in particular could benefit from a blue cube storage
