Dyson Sphere Program Ep2 – Red Matrix Cubes [4k]

Since I saw every Youtuber I watch trying out Dyson Sphere Program I figured I would try it out. So if you are a fan of Factorio and Satisfactory, you will like DSP. You’re not limited to just one planet or even solar system!

In this episode:

– I show the basic oil refining setup used for red science (energy matrix) also know as red cubes
– then a show the more complicated x-ray cracking (design is by Skye Storme)
– set up some basic stone smelting

More about the game:

Humanity is ready for a new era, but it needs more energy than ever. That’s why we, the space agency COSMO, started the Dyson Sphere Program. What was only a dream a few decades ago, is now possible thanks to our cutting-edge technology. But that does not mean that it will be an easy task: only a galaxy-wide production system will allow us such an extraordinary task. Fortunately, someone with remarkable organization skills will be in charge of this mission, and that’s you!

Dyson Sphere Program is a sci-fi simulation game with space, adventure, exploration and factory automation elements where you can build your own galactic industrial empire from scratch. Your ultimate goal is to build Dyson Spheres – devices capable of capturing and harnessing all the energy generated by a star. You can find more details about the game in its Steam page.

Get into your space-traveling robot Icarus and go explore a procedurally generated universe that will be unique on each playthrough. Find a suitable planet to start building your factory and gather resources across the whole galaxy. Design and manage production lines across the galaxy to get everything you need. Research to develop and improve your technologies. And finally, write the future: create your very own Dyson Sphere!

Dyson Sphere Program is a sandbox game, so every run will be different from others and you can play at your pace. You start small, mining the basic resources to produce the most basic buildings parts. Eventually you will have to expand your factories and go further and further in your explorations, looking for planets where you can harvest more advanced resources and designing interstellar transport systems to get the materials to your factories. You will also have to create efficient production lines to process the materials and building parts as fast as possible, as well as research and develop more advanced technologies. Starting from a small space workshop, you will develop a galaxy-wide industrial empire capable of completing a Dyson Sphere around your star of choice!

If you love sci-fi, astronomy and space travel, Dyson Sphere Program is the perfect game for you. The game procedurally generates a new universe with different types of planets and stars for every playthrough. Explore the galaxy and find hundreds of planets, from gaseous giants to rocky planets like Earth and neutron stars, white dwarfs and red giants… Each planet has unique characteristics like different rotation, revolution and gravity, as well as natural phenomenons like coronas. Boarded in your Icarus mecha, you can marvel at the rise of the stars in the dark side of a planet or watch the dawn of a red dwarf in faraway skies. And of course, you will get to build the dream of all science-fiction fans, a Dyson Sphere, a massive device that orbits around a star and is capable of harnessing all its power.

– Build a galactic industrial empire from scratch: start with a small workshop and improve it until it spans the whole galaxy.
– Develop your very own Dyson Spheres, a megastructure that orbits around a star harnessing all its power and energy, from the first screw to its completion.
– Explore a vast universe procedurally generated with all kinds of celestial bodies: neutron stars, white dwarfs, red giants…
– Gather resources in planets of all types: ocean, lava, desert, frozen, gaseous planets…
– Research new technologies to improve your factories… and discover the secrets of the universe.
– Build mechas to fly, sail or jump through outer space to alien planets.
– Transport materials across the galaxy to your facilities: thousands of transport ships will flow endlessly to your factories and back!
– Design the most efficient automated factory and production line.
– Customize your factory and Dyson Sphere to make it unique.
– Design a balanced power network capable of producing energy in all kinds of power plants like wind turbines, artificial stars, etc…

  1. I wonder, how does this grid end up behaving around the planet? You know, you can not transform the surface of a sphere into a flat plane while keeping it divided into the grid.. Can you build outside of the grid, and rotate buildings freely? Or is the planet maybe technically not even a sphere, but a donut? (which would allow a perfect grid around the planet, but is a bit confusing when you rotate the planet, since the sphere is then just an illusion).. did someone already figure that out?

  2. USE COMMUNITY POSTS!!! Quick you only have about a month to take advantage of the broken post algorithm, if you do post make sure they're super simple, yes or no answers or 3 possible answers and that's all! GOOD LUCK!!!

  5. This game looks satisfying to play, especially the flying in space aspect. If there are more engagement and wars etc in the space, i would throw my wallet at the devs.

  6. I like it when you muddle. I like Francis John too but he talks and goes way too fast, with your vids I feel like i'm seeing the game the way I would see it if I were playing it myself
