Dyson Sphere Program – Factorio In Space

Dyson Sphere Program is basically Factorio, but on a Galactic scale, setting interplanetary supply lines, and strip-mining whole worlds. It’s also great.

  1. Saw this on Steam a few days ago…. and it terrified me. I LOVE Factorio, but it legit scares me to start playing that game, because every time I sit down to play it the next thing I know it's 12 hours later and I haven't eaten or slept and the sun is coming up.

  2. After spending the past week watching Nilaus figure out ratios and the most efficient chains, watching Jon fumble with some of the most basic things is endlessly entertaining and refreshing.
Love the video, Jon! Keep up the awesome!

  3. Good start- You have everything working out well. It appears you got the handle of the game, Most find it very over welling, but it is not bad as factorio , Hope you will tear everything- and rebuild it with a style we ALL would lov- also side note: you can put the belts closer to the machine- they can get 1 space- it make the sorter faster-

  4. The only problem I have with this game is that stupid double helix model for wind turbines. THEY DON"T WORK!. That design physically cannot collect wind in any meaningful way, yet every science fiction movie and game seems to think they look cool, so why not. Ugg.

  5. John, If you place down a matrix lab and set it to research, you can take the red cubes directly from where they're being made and shoved into the research labs that way it will automate research and you dont need to carry it in your inventory!

  6. I'd just like to take this time to point out that mushrooms are the above-ground reproductive systems of an underground mycellium network, and shaking them causes them to expell their reproductive material.

  7. I played this game, therefore I know there's no way you can get anywhere close to even start buidling your first dyson sphere. So when's the live stream on this where we actually build a dyson sphere?

  8. (61hours) HHHNNNGGGGGGGHHH!! jon your grabbers are too far apart from the belts, you make the trip twice as long for nothing and you waste space…

Sorry, i know you are starting but it pains me.

  9. I have had a Steam gift card that I got for Christmas just sitting on my shelf because I couldn't think of any particular game that I really wanted to buy with it. As soon as you zoomed from 3rd Person all the way out to the galactic level I was opening Steam and clicking purchase.

  10. This looks like an incredibly polished game for an Early Access game. Wasn't sure if this was for me but once again you've convinced me to try this eventually. Would be amazing if they ever add multiplayer for this.

  11. As somebody who has put FAR too many hours into Factorio to be healthy…

-Multiple planets – Alright, that's pretty cool.
-Getting to play as a cool robot – Seems fun.
-Easily able to see production/usage rates of everything without needing a wiki – JUST TAKE MY MONEY!!!

  12. Games like these Reeeeeeeaally make me wish some series at least got a 2nd or 3rd episode, this is like grabbing a 700pg book, reading about 50 or 60, then deciding to call it a day and move on

  13. 34:45 Yes, that is a real thing for splitting up hydrocarbons. Is a bit unusual, though; Mostly you'd use electrolysis on water or have methane react with various substances.
Also, I'm pretty sure that when the game says "fire ice" it means ice that is on fire (or glowing hot, at least, because of the massive pressure inside an ice giant)
