Dyson Sphere Program is basically Factorio, but on a Galactic scale, setting interplanetary supply lines, and strip-mining whole worlds. It’s also great.

End the tyranny of the sun! By turning it into electricity!
Saw this on Steam a few days ago…. and it terrified me. I LOVE Factorio, but it legit scares me to start playing that game, because every time I sit down to play it the next thing I know it's 12 hours later and I haven't eaten or slept and the sun is coming up.
Honestly surprised I didn't hear, I went to play this to make sure this worked and then hours later
I would absolutely love to see this as a series, please do more.
Jon, you made it to a Volcanic planet, let's catalog ALL the lifeforms on this crib of life!
After spending the past week watching Nilaus figure out ratios and the most efficient chains, watching Jon fumble with some of the most basic things is endlessly entertaining and refreshing.
Love the video, Jon! Keep up the awesome!
you cant land on the blue planet because its a gas giant. there is nothing to land on .
Good start- You have everything working out well. It appears you got the handle of the game, Most find it very over welling, but it is not bad as factorio , Hope you will tear everything- and rebuild it with a style we ALL would lov- also side note: you can put the belts closer to the machine- they can get 1 space- it make the sorter faster-
looks pretty cool. you zoomed in early on in the stream before going to top-down view. Is that the only view? or can you zoom down to the robots view (fpp) etc?
jon earlier this week; volcanic planets are innately full of life but i guess i will say they are not for kotor.
jon now; this volcanic planet is a lifeless husk of rock
The only problem I have with this game is that stupid double helix model for wind turbines. THEY DON"T WORK!. That design physically cannot collect wind in any meaningful way, yet every science fiction movie and game seems to think they look cool, so why not. Ugg.
Jon, oil jelly is generally called napalm…
Got excited thinking Jon was playing stellaris again. Still though, looks like a great game!
More more live stream Wednesday this week……
John, If you place down a matrix lab and set it to research, you can take the red cubes directly from where they're being made and shoved into the research labs that way it will automate research and you dont need to carry it in your inventory!
I'd just like to take this time to point out that mushrooms are the above-ground reproductive systems of an underground mycellium network, and shaking them causes them to expell their reproductive material.
I played this game, therefore I know there's no way you can get anywhere close to even start buidling your first dyson sphere. So when's the live stream on this where we actually build a dyson sphere?
(61hours) HHHNNNGGGGGGGHHH!! jon your grabbers are too far apart from the belts, you make the trip twice as long for nothing and you waste space…
Sorry, i know you are starting but it pains me.
Oh what joy! I can say this again!
T H E F A C T O R Y M U S T
G R O W
Clicked on this expecting an Isaac Arthur video. Boy, was I surprised to hear Jon!
this game gets a whole lot better once you get intergalactic logistics station
Fun fact. If we were to try to create a dyson sphere here at home we'd have to deconstruct the entirety of Jupitar for the materials.
Jon you can build some buildings like labs and storage chest on top of each other to save space
I have had a Steam gift card that I got for Christmas just sitting on my shelf because I couldn't think of any particular game that I really wanted to buy with it. As soon as you zoomed from 3rd Person all the way out to the galactic level I was opening Steam and clicking purchase.
This looks like an incredibly polished game for an Early Access game. Wasn't sure if this was for me but once again you've convinced me to try this eventually. Would be amazing if they ever add multiplayer for this.
I guess you never had the tutorial tell you that you can stack the science labs 3 times on each other.
Jon going to space with no plan on returning is such a Space Race USSR move.
jon, you played all this time, and you didn't look at the charts.
There Are Charts!
😒 Stuck on a remote planet with nothing but a bit of grass for fuel…. with HYDROGEN in his inventory!
we need a livestream
As somebody who has put FAR too many hours into Factorio to be healthy…
-Multiple planets – Alright, that's pretty cool.
-Getting to play as a cool robot – Seems fun.
-Easily able to see production/usage rates of everything without needing a wiki – JUST TAKE MY MONEY!!!
Welp, I think I've found where all of my time will end up.
I like the way it turned into Kerbal Space Program near the end there – this game looks massive!
It's to bad I don't have a gaming computer, I'm really interested in this game. I feel like this would be a good game to put on the switch.
"You need to keep your robot fueled up."
"Sounds like that's gonna be hard to do?"
"No, it's going to be super easy, barely an inconvenience."
Yeah, you can't land on a gas giant lol
Games like these Reeeeeeeaally make me wish some series at least got a 2nd or 3rd episode, this is like grabbing a 700pg book, reading about 50 or 60, then deciding to call it a day and move on
Does he know that you can break water down into hydrogen?
How did Many A True "-1 Perception" Nerd notice you can directly connect buildings with sorters before I did?!
Crude Oil contains hydrogen.
"everything is always power, power, power" That's why you build a shed around the sun.
A robot going around in space creating automatic factories for his first Dyson Sphere is a rather ominous story! Universal Paperclips illustrates it quite nicely.
Please do a series on this, it would be so good.
The game is missing logic systems and other belt controls that are in other games, it's E.A. so it might be there in the future
also no trains
Jon: don't make jelly out of oil…
Petroleum Jelly: Exists
38:50
please add this as a livestream option, this seems like a very interesting game.
34:45 Yes, that is a real thing for splitting up hydrocarbons. Is a bit unusual, though; Mostly you'd use electrolysis on water or have methane react with various substances.
Also, I'm pretty sure that when the game says "fire ice" it means ice that is on fire (or glowing hot, at least, because of the massive pressure inside an ice giant)
