The easiest way to find the equator is to look at the coordonate on the bottom left when you place the collector. You need to go to 0° N
Another tip ice giants will sometimes produce fire ice for the collectors so you can get an infinite amount of that
None of my hydrogen is being transported for some reason. It looks identical to yours, I have remote supply set on the collector and remote demand set on my base and 10 vessels in my base too. I'm at a loss. Edit: scrub that, it started working after an hour, still no idea why.
I was a bit worried as I have excess hydrogen. My Green Gas giant Gave 2 FireIce and 1 Hydrogen. The FireIce can make straight Graphene.
You have latitude and longitude on your screen. Finding equator is easy using those.

I wouldn't use the mini particle accelerator to make deut, but rather strange matter later… especially given, I got a no fire ice on my gas giant, but deut already there for the taking!
in another video some suggested that you need to be 0 degrees to find equator. In your video you were about 3 so i guess it's all a bit approximate. Built one but just struggled find the equator, hopefully after these two video's will find it 🙂

my biggest problem is not H2 but refined oil… so many darn things use refined oil it's insane. I'm burning off my H2 in crappy heat generator configured as overflow as i don't need more power right now. a solar ring around the planet makes wonder

Depending on the Gas Giant. Some are Hydrogen and Fire Ice! Not all have deuterium! Which sucks!

3:43 I came to find out what to set max charging power at, that's for the drones right? if its working with set 0 whats the purpose of the slider?
Just getting to this point in the game so thanks for the tips. I'm terrible at this game but loving it anyway, and luckily there are videos to help a nub like me along.
I figured some starts are hardcore because you have no silicone in your system (or like 40k ore, dafuq) so you end up putting up 1600 smelters to turn all the stone in the system to silicone. These should be starter settings not random.
Also the collectors burn one of their cargos for fuel – so with hydrogen and deuterium you'll end up with less deuterium than you expected and if it collects fire ice and hydrogen you won't collect as much hydrogen.
Does more orbit collector speed it up? On the Gas giants there is a production rate… i just felt like when i added more collectors it seems my original one started collecting slower? not sure if placebo or not
A couple notes. Each gas giant has room for 36 collectors. Logistics drones will not pick up the fuel. The latest logistics patch added a thing where you must check the range on your station, if your gas giant is in your system, but more than 12 au away, your logistics vessels might not pick it up. Or, they will waste space warpers. Be aware
