  1. Unless Anthem Next is leagues above the original, it honestly feels like it's time for Bioware and EA to cut their losses on this one. We'll see what happens.

  2. I think they should give Anthem NEXT a chance to launch. I really want to see what the 30 people were able to do. Sometimes the lowest amount of people in a workforce can collaborate and produce better than a massive group.

  3. Imagine fucking with the dev team so much and moving people around so frequently (on top of voluntary leaves/quitting) and then going in to check on the studio to expect any proper progress at all.

  4. Bioware Moves on????
The Anthem is the last straw of my willingness to buy any other products from Bioware. I may rather be happier to watch them die, don't even care for the DA4 anymore and that Mass effect re-scam? 100% nope!

  5. I hope they don't, half these people in the comments never even played the game. the gameplay was up there with the best, some of the most satisfying gameplay I've every played. the problem was the lacking content , if they can just make a better flowing story and more content its would have been a great game.

every title that has released in the past decade has been full of bugs, its not excused but tbh people be acting like games like Skyrim and cod released bug free when they were full of that shit. look at cyberpunk. shit is a bugged mess with lacking content compared to what was advertised and people are still making excuses for that game

  6. Would it really be cutting their loses? I'm pretty sure they got enough money out of us to have a profit. So wouldn't it be they need to cut our loses? I bought a game, I still want my game.

  7. Remember guys don't preorder Dragon Age 4! When the shipped a buggy awful lacklustre Mass effect andromeda aside from some bug fixes it did not improve post launch. On top of that they canceled all the DLC plans.

DA4 was already well into development when they scrapped the project, and later on restarted the project but did not keep any of their previous work. There's sadly a chance it may become another Anthem or Andromeda. Best to wait and see if it's worth your money.

  8. It seems a weird strategy (not surprising for EA of course…) to cancel this rerelease after this much work and ressources went into trying to resurrecting it!

So at least to me, it's unlikely that they would wait this long, and then suddenly cancel it. Especially since EA usually act pretty quickly when it comes to pulling the plug on a project… Hell, they pulled the plug on saving Andromeda, before the first DLC could even happen!

  9. I quite liked Anthem, but obviously was hoping for more content and such that never came… It would be cool if they could revive Anthem but not if they have to take recources away from other Bioware projects… If they could staff up the team to 90-100 by hireing extra people then maybe it could work, but if they have to take those people away from the other projects then i say its too late and dont bother, sadly… Bioware have DA4 coming next and are also in the early stages of working on the next Mass Effect entry and these 2 projects are far more important than Anthem… After Andromeda and Anthem, Bioware really needs to hit it out of the park with its next couple of projects… Maybe in a few years they can revisit the idea and do a proper Anthem 2.0 and get it right then, but at the very least i think Anthem needs to be put on ice for a while, if not cancelled outright…

  10. I'm feeling optimistic about Anthem. Never bought the game. I knew it was going to be a dumpster fire. This may be a dumb conclusion but oh well. At first I was weirded out by the only being thirty people working on it. But thinking about it. I'm cool with it. 30 people means there's less talking heads with the overhaul. These guys can just focus on their work. Less is more basically. Maybe the game will be good enough for me to buy??

  11. I think EA should just cancel Anthem Next. In fact, I personally am over EAs bullshit over the past decades, so I'm done giving them any further chances. I want to see EA go down the drain and hope they will soon close their gates. Which of course will never happen, but for us consumers, it would be a crucial step into the right direction. We need companies like EA and all the other shady practicing companies gone, before we can have back our entertainment industry back, which meant to make game to enjoy, not to make highest possible profit. But in reality, we got too many crazy heads out there, which will keep buying every single Fifa and Co. and keep buying their microtransactions over an over. These guys basically are the reason, why EA can keep doing this shit with us.

  12. … Ah Bioware, how the mighty have fallen! They had such an awesome catalog of titles, Kotor, Mass Effect, etc. Gotta love when once creative and imaginative studios are reduced to soulless shells of their former selves because corporate prefers profit over passion.
