  1. Interesting ideas about factions, though I consider Thieves Guild is far more evil then the Dark Brotherhood and I disagree with some of your opinions about consequences though if can kill any faction of your choice that would be fine, also I like the Companions because of Werewolf stuff. Anyway there are a few ideas beyond that for ES6 I want: Better Map System perhaps similar to Zelda or Dragon Age where there are clearly marked destinations on the map within a "dungeon" and markings where you entered from, also make it so "pet followers" are immortal essentially so you don't have to worry about them getting lost or dying, also for horses/camels/whatever you can ride make it similar Zelda Ocarina of Time where you play a song or whistle or something and your ride will come to you almost "magically" so say you are over encumbered after clearing a dungeon and want to get back to somewhere to sell/store the loot quickly that is better then trying to remember where you left the horse or whatever and have to slowly move back there, additionally maybe armor for your mount but it actually protects them, and finally maybe make it so after you cleared a fort or whatever you can take it over properly and get it rebuilt and set up friendlies in the place instead even if it's something like the lord/Jarl in the area won't/can't pay to get it rebuilt but if you give the money they will match it and within a set period of time the place will be rebuilt/fixed.

  2. What I hope for most is that we get a New Vegas type game for Elder Scrolls. There are many things Bethesda is unwilling to do that another dev might be more than happy to do

  3. I find it funny that people tend to treat Starfield as a distraction getting in the way of ES6 or Fallout 5. I don't have high hopes, but… part of me hopes Starfield might be a pleasant surprise… buggy, but still a pleasant surprise.

  4. With the day and age we live in, they could do this all. Yes it would cost a crap ton… But the game would go down in litterly legend. Being the first real on going single player experience. Now that they are owned by Microsoft, they could work out a deal wear shit keeps getting added live service wise. You charge 90$ (yes! this much and that's cheap early on, but would be a steal as content was added… and I mean content*… lore safe content) for a fantasy roleplay game. They have. Unique position to do something no one else, maybe besides obsidian (given they do well with there's), could do. Imagine the absolute quintessential and ultimate roleplaying experience set in a fantasy world already pre-established, this is where we are heading with live service games, get ahead of the game Bethesda and Microsoft fund what they need. We all know you have money to do so on a lose of ten plus years possible longer. Set the trend that we can all see on the horizon. And if it flops… Well ig go back to basics, and don't ever get afraid of playing it safe all the time. I dream of a game (*not like ESO*) where I can travel all across Nirn, possible with just one or four buddies, where all *our decisions have consequences… Now as the phrase goes " I am limited by the technology of my time…" But you are not held back by tech, only your own willingness to commit! Microsoft/Bethesda, you just lack willpower and commitment. You want a sure thing and I get that, but imagine setting off a new age of entertainment, and not only being the ones spear heading it… But having such a lead it would take years, no, decades for competitors to catch up. I wish a higher-up executive would just read these comments (admittedly mine and hire me, no pay just respect in my vision), I can spout out ideas all day but I truly am limited and it's not fair. I'd be grey and old by the time I got to say and/or money to do these things. If we all sorts wish this, creatives always get shafted in the end… The price payed for our gift of vision.

  5. They did sort of the right thing with factions in Fallout 4. If you progress far enough with the Railroad, BoS, or Institute, it locks you put of the other two. If they could build on that, add complexity, that would be great.

  6. I am glad for essential npcs for in Skyrim as when I first started when the chicken eventually died and I fought river wood I tried to kill delphine and if I succeeded then it would have ruined my save and I wouldn’t have known for ages

  7. I want reputation implemented in the game so badly. NPCs and areas will be influenced by the gossip they've heard of the character and will act accordingly. i.e. you've been drinking blood of innocent NPCs to their death as a vampire, and because of this the vigilant keep sending you warnings and mercenaries and you're lowering their patience with you that they could even influence near cities to know that you are indeed a vampire. And also, even if they can't make SO much consequence or choice they could still manipulate and make it seem less linear with EXTREME difference in end results for these faction questlines to where it influences into the world building as a whole. i.e. not just consequence for certain dialogue or interaction with other guilds ect. ect. but there is just different choice of ending depending how you play these quest lines in general – this would help with replaying the game because you want to see all the different choice endings. not just "either join the darkbrotherhood and astrid dies and you just end up master or go DESTROY the darkbrotherhood heres some money done." but more fleshed out more choice i.e. if you had opened more dialogue perhaps with Astrid to try and influence and get her trust to where her greed wouldnt have been compromised and she actually doesn't screw over the guild or she does but then warns the player ect ect and then maybe you and the rest of the guild wouldve had choice to banish, kill, or be merciful to Astrid through vote or something.

  8. I'd like to see more dwemer artifacts. Maybe a whole quest line in a faction or scholars dedicated to everything dwemer. 🤔 us fans keeps thinking the next elder scrolls will take place in the same era as elder scrolls 5, I hope that's not the case. I dont want an elder scrolls era 4.5. Let's see what 5th era is about.

  10. there arent gonna be any factions they are hard and may morally confuse the player there is gonna be a single kind and people focused all overlapping homogeneous democratic organisation with different branches for your 2 class choices that faces off against an omnipresent threat that seeks to undermine its national security and cultural beliefs of the akaviiri state

  11. From my understanding. ES6 is going to be a Iliac Bay area focus (correct me if I'm wrong), like southern High Rock and Northern Hammerfell.

I'd assume then that there'd be the four guilds (Fighters, mages, thieves and Darkbros) but explore the dynamics between their counterparts in the other province.

I.e the Mages in both provinces are cool, but the thieves guild in high rock is in a kind of shadow war with the thieves guild in Hammerfell. That sort of thing.

  12. I agree with the comments re an increased variety of guilds/cults/groups. Sometimes I want to play a Knightly Paladin type build (standard), sometimes a daedric cultist, sometimes a Holy Healer type build (Mara affiliated). Having the ranking system from Oblivion to show your progression would be so good as well! I would also like their to be one main base of operations for guilds, but have mini outposts in a few other locations.

But equally I want some larger consequences from the decisions I make in the game. I want exteriors to change their appearance and I want factions to change control of towns etc.

  13. Fallout New Vegas' factions are my favourite for example the BoS if you join them and support the correct member you can avoid the wiping them out quest and they help you fight in the end

  14. What about doing mulitple characters? Like in GTA V. Like one can be head of the mage's faction, the other could be a warrior and then one is the thief/assassin.

  15. I do hope the developers are taking notes of all these ideas about the factions. I am totally up for a necromancer guild or a faction for rogue mages. And something like a Robinhood type thieves guild partnering with a "different" assassin's guild (dark brotherhood still exists and Morag tong expands their operation up to Hammerfall) to destroy another thieves guild would be super amazing.

  16. I think choice and consequence should be renamed to choice and effect, that way it means no matter what choice you make it doesn't necessarily mean you will be punished for it, but it will have some sort of effect either beneficial or not for you and on the world at large.
