Teaser Vs. Speculated locations shown in ESO-
Elder Scrolls 6 and its location have been debated for years and further heated things up with a teaser made by Bethesda at E3 in 2018. Instead of arguing that it’s not set in a location in Tamriel, let’s take a look at an environment comparison between the teaser trailer and the locations being speculated in the Elder Scrolls Online, which allows us to visit these places and make a conclusion with our own eyes. Unless Bethesda put no thought and effort into the teaser, then the speculations revolving around don’t add up.
– Yes, ESO is canon with other Elder Scrolls games.

We might just see together why these theories don’t add up since many factors such as:
– Where the sun is (East/West) in comparison to the game
– Geography
– Architecture
– Landmarks
Note: These are not ALL the locations in ESO, there are dozens more. The locations shown throughout the video are the main areas speculated by the TES Community.

Let me know if you’re interested in getting another video to overview where I believe the next location will be and discuss why it will be there.
I do NOT own any footage of the teaser trailer or soundtrack played during the video.

Wow great content, keep up the good work!
I’m surprised nobody in this community has ever thought about using ESO as a reference point to find out where the next game will be set.
I’ve never played it, but ESO features at least a few locations from most of the provinces, there has to be SOMETHING that gives us a clue.
But have you seen Riften in ESO? Looks absolutely nothing like it does in Skyrim. BGS games showcase different art direction and environmental details every game. I personally still think it'll be Hammerfell but good video nonetheless and I appreciate the fact that this is a different take on those theories!
Err.. I am not sure about this approach. I appreciate the idea, but, while Zenimax tries to fairly accurately recreate Bethesda's worlds, there is not guarantee Bethesda will care much for accurately recreating Zenimax's. (And I hope they don't. Bethesda likes to have fairly unique architecture for each city. Unless the city was based off a Bethesda game, cities in ESO feel fairly generic and samey within each province).
On top of that, it is confirmed TES VI will have more procedural generation. We are not sure for what exactly, but it is possible for the first time since Morrowind the world scale may change.
Is Skywatch in ESO? I am looking at the trailer and the lighting and if the light is the rising sun then it could be on the eastern side of land and Summerset around Skywatch looks kinda promising because there is a ton of water on the right and no other land to the north.
im not saying this is false, i just wanna say ESO takes place 1000 years before skyrim, and ES6 might be after, so maybe hammerfell has changed since then.
Bethesda does retcons all the time, it's not really about the consistency of their franchise to them. Before Skyrim released it was meant to be entirely covered in snow apart from the far west of Skyrim. Cyrodiil was largely covered in jungle until they retconned that in Oblivion as Talos using CHIM. Locations in ESO appear different than they appeared in the main games. I don't think this a bad thing though as long is it retains some level of consistency and is fun to explore. Does the teaser mean it'll be High Rock and/or Hammerfell? No, they could retcon Elsweyr to have large mountains or some other place to look like this. Does High Rock and Hammerfell's appearance in the games mean the teaser is debunked? No, as they could retcon it to look different.
Yo at the 15 second mark I can totally hear what sounds like someone ripping a fart sounded like it hurt too
If you go to Skyrim in ESO and try to compare to TESV you will see it isn't even close to matching in areas. So this isn't an accurate way of comparison.
Same with what we've seen with the other regions.
the coast line in the teaser lines up pretty exact with the hammerfell coastline, its about an 80% chance hammerfell is the next location or at least part of it since it might be more than 1 or parts of multiple provinces.
Face cam next time please?
There were rumors of a hammerfell DLC for skyrim just before bethesda said no more skyrim DLC, my bet is still on hammerfell.
You sound racist it's definitely had in hammerfell
Your video dumb as hell you only saw the alik'r desert for hammerfell instead of looking at the home environment thumbs down
funny how some connect eso and tes games,i mean the map leak appeared only on the channel dedicated to TES single player games, havent made it to ESO channel 🙂
ESO is widely different from solo games in the series and you know that too this game was built for MMO so the terrain won't be the EXACT same.
I'd be hesitant to use ESO's map to prove or disprove the setting of the teaser. We know for a fact that ESO's map isn't really all that accurate (Skyrim has absorbed Blacklight from Morrowind, and many of the kingdoms and fiefdoms of High Rock are gone). ESO's map is far less detailed than a main TES title's map because of the fact that there is far more content.
Well done for this beautiful video. It really highlights the beauty of eso landscapes. I don't think it says much about how es6 will look though because it may look really different. I like how you rode a camel in the desert!
I think elder scrolls 6 akavir would be a neet idea
Remember: ESO is set over 700 years before Skyrim and presumably the next game. More than enough time to the geography to change a bit (specially considering the number of wars full of fireball throwing wizards)
