Ep2 Dyson Sphere Program, even in space you need oil.

Their is a lot of research in this game but the only ones that count are the ones that allow you to fly between planets. I’m liking the direction this game is taking.

  1. Tip when sailing: you lose energy in orbit, speed up and out of orbit then find your target planet; you don't drain while in space. Of course, having a full cargo of coal is recommended to speed up via recharge + shift key.

  2. Still waiting to see what the game is really like beyond the first planet. What is management like for multiple planets? How do they interact? I want galaxy gameplay! lol

  3. Heh, you complain you don't have anything to build and automate and you're waiting for more research while ignoring a lot of stuff you can actually build. For example you can start creating foundations. A great way to ignore lakes and turning whole planet into factory floor.

  4. You should really give Satisfactory a go. It's like 3D Factorio, so it gives you verticality for both building and exploring. I think they are close to releasing the next big update, at least on experimental branch, so it might be a good time to try it after they do.

  5. sorters have a filter for what they pull when placing and pulling from a production facility you can press tab or up and down to select one of the products or just click on the sort when you finished placing

  6. Wait until you get space warp.
It's fun jumping into new systems and "shopping" for a new base planet.
I found a nice green planet that has all the resources I need for a good industrial world.
The interstellar logistics network works like a charm.

So much fun stuff for an early access game.

  7. Hydrogen has to come from oil, not water? Dang, there's plenty of water – a pump and chemical separator would have been perfectly fine. On the other hand, an excuse to play with oil refining… or is it?

  8. I guess I'm a bit confused at the fact that 1au is ~1e8 km, and travelling at 1km/s would take, uh, ~40k hours, so either the planet was moving insanely quickly towards us, or the game took some liberty in the space travel times….
