Damn I havent seen you in 5 years lol
Holding shift will allow free placement and is very useful for more optimized placing. It lets you place supports much easier as well
The reason your structure was damaged all over is because wood structures take damage from the rain when there is no roof overhead. Stake walls and fences are ok but most other wood structures will take damage.
Didn't read all the comments slip, but in case nobody told you if your structure is not covered by a roof all wooden structures take damage except for the palisade wall and rooves unless they are covered
omg … i found you again ! haven`t seen your videos since ark with the moded servers… god this game is perfect for u ! 😀 can`t wait to see ur builds and base and all ur content !
U can squeeze 4 cooking racks onto one camp fire
Supports work as such: If the part is green/blue you're good to go,if it's red/orange it needs support. So either a pillar,wall etc under and it should change to green/blue color when you hover over it. Also,if you don't have a roof on a building,like just the walls and floor is on then the weather damages everything. Can't use floor tiles as ceiling either,HAS TO BE thatch roof pieces in order to cover the base,prevent damage and give you the sheltered/rested buff.
This game is soo much fun I keep funding new things I haven't discovered
You want a try a game that has a terrible building system try fallout 4. Loved the game hate the build system. Want to try a game with a much better building system, try No Man's Sky, I loved the building system in that game. You can go to 3rd person and float around your house to build. Well actually the little robot thingy flies around your house but still that's how it should be done. And the pieces just snap in place with little effort.
blue, green, orange and red are your support colors while holding the hammer if i recall. if you build on a red, it collapses
even before ark and all
you will always be the slip that i know
the colors means that level of sturdiness of the structure. blue is the strongest and red is the weakest
lmao The Raft
whats your seed??
It really sucks to see that you don't get the views you deserve :/
15:32 Did it rain while you were building? Because rain damages exposed structures. Once you added the roof, the damage would've stopped. Keep this in mind when placing things like workbenches and woodpiles outside. Keep an eye on that dock as well.
the greyDwarf are very afraid of fire, hold your light in left hand while u do building and they won't piss ya off
Slip. Been awhile since I've watched your content. Like the new intro! Keep up the good work.
can we got the seed and location of ur world
Maybe build a base near water, then dig a channel and flood land after build is done?!
If you want to build under things and the nodes are not snapping it due to ground height
need a bronze axe in order to cut birch…which requires the pickaxe and copper and tin and smelter
can you not build and place supports off a boat ?in to the water ?
If you don't build enough support everything connected takes slow decaying damage. You need green colored building parts, anything non green will cause connected parts to decay.
For cooking on a fire pit you can add multiple cooking racks, I use 3 in a triangle shape around the fire, or if you prefer use two and place a cauldron where the third one would go so you can cook 4 meat and use a cauldron on one fire.
Yellow!
Please like the video guys so that Sl1p’s videos get recommended to other peeps
Do those fires need fuel? Because why build walls?
You can place more than one cooking station per fire pit. i have 5 on top of my one fire.
Blue = Foundation
Green = Supported
Yellow = One away from Supported
Orange = One away from Un-Supported
Red = Un-Supported (will fail)
When is the patch coming that gets rid of the 8bit graphics?
Nice design on that house.
gotta have some precision and patience. i did it, it just took a little while and it was very annoying also supports dont look very symmetrical.
If you wana make a base on the water you can use the hose to raise ground it takes a while but you can raise ground thill you get in the middle of the ocen or find a small island and raise the ground there i made my self a island base and even made my self a road and stuff
over 40h played over last 4 days, this game is amazing
stone buildings are realy cool
why do your graphics look so much better than mine im on high settings is there something better than that
Make a hole in your floor, use the hoe and some stones to raise the floor a level, add your campfire , now you got an inside campfire, don't forget to vent the smoke
