They couldve made the Death Note Netflix well-ish if they had just said ‘this is a follow on from the OG death note and is set a few months later after.
The characters were already completely different characters anyway. Like this ‘Light’ couldve been a follower or a copier of the original but he’s not as smart at all so thats why it goes the way it goes.
Like who tells a girl he just met about his Death Note?!
