  1. Weapon malfunctions will happen when the weapon is on low durability. I can bet the average player doesn't have a gun that is below 60 durability. This is prob to stop people from just using 60 round mags back to back, which most people don't do.

  2. Depending on how handled, weapon jamming creates a really interesting dynamic that can disrupt the meta. For example, some ammunition types in real life (Like M855A1) are EXTREMELY hard on guns and will wear them out quickly, so you could be discouraged from using high-tier AP, or at least, discouraged from constantly mag dumping with it. Also, drum magazines for rifles are notoriously unreliable, so using them could increase the chances of your gun malfunctioning regardless of durability. This would encourage the use of standard magazines well into the late game. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with it!

  3. I never knew SCAR naming was a gaming thing, the FN Herstal site lists both the H and the L by those names in their catalogue. Does the gun community just not use those names in favour of mk16/mk17?

  4. CMMG mk47 mutant has full auto though and afaik even has that as a selection on the selector switch on the photos released by BSG although its a bit hard to see

  5. SCAR-H & SCAR-L are most definitely real designations for FN's rifles. You're mixing up the naming by combining Mk 16/17 and SCAR-L/H.
Confusingly enough the civilian versions are called SCAR 16S/17S.
