  1. I hope you see this comment, cause it’ll help a newbie like you: leg meta. Run KEDRs and KLINs since they’re cheap, or use high damage/low pen and aim for the legs. Against chads, you’ll shred every time especially if you’re doing budget runs.

  2. Another tip is play offline raids to learn maps. Loot spawns, scav boss spawns, and exfil locations. You can figure out good loot runs and stash locations if you aren’t too savvy on looking at maps.

  3. Ah man when I see a PSO with the black chevron I remember when I first started and thought it was trash. Press ALT + right click to toggle sight modes. You can have a an illuminated sight picture if you toggle it, other sights give you variable zoom

  4. I played a ton of tarkov recently.
So brutal and deaths are basically guaranteed.
    But it is so rewarding
Learning the maps is super important and I highly advise having the tarkov maps site open on a second screen
Love seeing you play it and suffer with the rest of us

  5. Make sure to try and not get your stamina in the red zone, especially while running in open fields. If it’s in the “red” state you can’t run until it’s goes back to being green

  6. I wanted to go into a full critique of your video. Point out things you said that were incorrect, comment on your play style, etc.

But instead, after watching the whole thing, I realized that you really are just a Timmy with zero clue what you're doing.

I respect that. I can't shit on you for that. I miss those days to be honest. Just keep at it. Watch videos by creators like Veritas, Jesse Kazzam, Tweak, OnePeg, AirwingMarine, etc. They're great sources of info for the average beginner in Tarkov (0-200/300 hours). Obviously they have info that's good for experienced people as well.

You keep at it though, you'll get there. As someone with 3000+ hours in the game I can tell you though that the feeling of "competency", as an overarching concept or feeling, is a total misnomer. Unless you're a Tarky God like Pest, Lvndmark, Bakeezy, Hyper-Rat, Rengwar, etc. These guys even have their days where they are off.

I find that the key is really about becoming competent in different aspects of the game, and then putting it all together. The first thing any beginner in Tarkov needs to know, before anything else though, map knowledge. Nothing else matters in the game if you can't get out of the raid.

Learn the maps, run offline to learn them (best technique), and go luck.

  7. Just so you're aware, tarkov does have an overwhelming problem with cheaters on certain maps/at certain points so don't blame yourself too much when you feel like your death was some bullshit.

  8. Anything close range just hipfire

Keep a cms on you or a surv kit to make sure you wont die to leg meta or black stomachs

Usec camp after killing one guy scope out the top of the buildings then the bottom of the buildings. Scavs have ridiculous range now.

If your late into a wipe and your using any small caliber rounds for mid to long distance aim leg level black out there legs prevents them from running or if you can hit face (garbage bullets tend to bounce off there head) op sks or sks aim head mosin hit anywhere it hurts all snipers hurt. Ak aim head vector pistol ump shotgun aim face or leg

  9. Tbh I learned this game mainly on my own but as with allot of games, after reaching a certain tier you hit the cheater sweet spot. Some just switch from game modes or maps, I just switch to a totally different game lol.

  11. If you're starting the best thing to get around is how armor and the health system works and learning that which means that you also learn to use shotguns as they tend to be a work around those things (aka magnum f*ckshot to the legs)
