  1. buffed the ammo, nerfed the recoil to oblivion, 1 step forward, 2 steps back at usual
Gun is only viable at close range due to the horrible recoil and slow muzzle velocity (so what's the advantage of the suppressor?!)
30 rounds mags cost an outrageous 38k or 4 pliers for the barter
Fun gun to use in factory, other than that…

  2. Whenever I run the VSS/VAL I fill my mags with 15 rounds of SPP on the bottom and 15 rounds of BP on top.

Here's a question though. Pestily's ammo 'tier list' says that SPP is a tracer round. But it doesn't say so in the bullet description and I cant say I've ever noticed a tracer when shooting it… So is SPP a tracer or was that a mistake?

  3. the things is the SP-5 is really cheap and u can buy infinite of it. Its best choice for low budget runs as it pack more damage and is cheeper then most good pen 9mm rounds for 1/4 the price.

  4. Look I don't want to bag on No Food After Midnight and his work but his charts are not the best. The one found on the official EFT wiki is better because it displays more, also important information. NFAMs charts don't show recoil modifiers on ammo. SPP has a +20 recoil debuff. That's pretty important information to not include.

  5. AFAIK "Accuracy" is used to calculate the… accuracy, of a single bullet over distance. Meaning it shouldn't really change much in full-auto, since it's dominated by both recoil stats. It should be relevant if single-firing over a long distance, where recoil doesn't really affect the bullet trajectory.

  6. This was an interesting test for visualizing recoil but it didn't really show anything with the accuracy stat at all.

In real life (and by extension I believe it should be treated the same in tarkov, regardless of realism or any lack thereof) accuracy has nothing to do with recoil. It also has nothing to do with how close the bullets hit to your mark; that would be a sighting/range-finding issue. Accuracy is a measure of how consistently a weapon fires in the same spot each time it's fired. The important difference here is you have to AIM at the SAME spot every time you fire (not full-auto spray or making any adjustments). You take the average grouping of the rounds and that's your general measurement for "accuracy".

I enjoyed the video but it felt like a missed opportunity to show the actual difference with the accuracy stat.
