I am new to Tarkov and have my first 200 hrs into the game. Really like it but it feels SUPER (almost WoW-like) GRINDY and often frustrating/unfair. It is very hard to level and make money while getting shot by super geared players in nine of ten games. This icentivise a passiv camping rat gameplay. For me, Scav rounds and fighting other scavs are more fun than playing my PMC, who often get no exp and is punished for being one taped with the best ammo from miles away. Compared to i.e. Hunt Showdown (the other game I like to play recently) the PvP in Eft is very unbalanced towards lower level and casual gamers. Tarkov struggles to balance the rpg/managment progression of the game against the being a hardcore tactical shooter at the same time. Not sure, if getting rid of the flea market is the solution but a different way to progress traders and gear is a very very good idea. If the higher tier loot would be uncommen in the suggested early wipe cycle, people would only trade lower tier gear anyway.

Honestly make dynamic loot and get rid of the Bitcoin farm IMO and you’ve essentially fixed the Chad Meta because to make money you’ll actually have to survive and the dynamic loot will eliminate money runs it shouldn’t be a cake walk to get rich in tarkov it should be damn near impossible it’s a post apocalyptic world after all I doubt the majority of people will be living like Chad’s 🤷🏻♂️
Ive been saying the same thing for almost a year. The flea needs to go. It ruins all progression and the game is now a money making simulator combined with a camping simulator. I miss the good old days when leveling up traders actually meant something.
Time to request Escape of Tarkov Classic servers like WoW 🙂
Jokes aside, the player servers are in development and doing nice progress. If they get MP functionaliy they may as well pose a threat to the official.
as a casual player who often doesn't get lvl 10 until at least a few weeks into the wipe(due to not playing much) after that i can compete gear wise but if it is removed and nothing else is done it would kill pvp for me due to ammo being ineffective against high level players. the found in raid system also hit the game hard because people like that aren't good at pvp are forced to either lose what little loot we can fit in our 2×2 secure container looses so much value if we die so it heavily discourages pvp once you find anything of value.
I've stopped playin Tarkov. I got too busy working and now I dont miss the stress at all. I realize the game is not enjoyable.
they should make it that if you die you lose your stash. problem solved
I'm a casual player and feel left out because I can't play a lot. I didn't start this wipe until just last week. I have to run interchange and shoreline til I have enough money to quest. Then I die multiple times questing due to campers and high level players. I love the game but will probably stop playing because it's no fun dying to altyn Chads on interchange while farming rubles
So much yes! I agree with a lot of these ideas, maybe not as an end all be all, but as a good starting spot to fixing the progression issues and bringing back the survival/scavenge aspects of Tarkov.
100% agree. that is why i have stopped playing it. i dont like it any more , i only get to lvl 19
been playing my second wipe without the flea market, i would like having a flea market free shard if nothing else. and maybe phase 3 and 4 has raiders? i like the idea of having somewhat good gear trying to take out top tier gear.
as someone who was in the alpha armor was op they called it a leg meta for a reason. wipes where originally a temporary thing but now are needed to keep the game alive. I do believe they where talking about coop raids (like destiny) players vs AI but that might had just been a rumor. The worst part was timed task.
my main grip now is how they mess up gun play the game was suppose to be realistic one to two shots could kill you. now about 90% of bullets take more then 10. Pistol are like the most useless weapons class in the game and everyone rushes to lvl 50 in a week. The game has a try hard kinda feel now where it feels like everyone a speed runner trying to be done with the game as fast as possible.
The only way to fix this is to wipe everyone memories and re release the alpha again then we can have the glory days again.
When it comes to the economy/flea market, I feel like 3 major changes would fix most of the issues for the better.
1.) make it so the gamma container can only be used to take stuff out of when in raid, and you cannot put things into it. This would make it exclusively used for spare ammo, meds, keys, and money. This would also cut RMT in half(because most rmt is pure cash/valuables or keycards)
2.) alter the found in raid mechanic with regards to the flea so player loot can be sold on the market. This means any guns, attachments, mags, or gear(rigs,helmets, fsields, etc.) but, no valuables or miscellaneous items would be allowed(so players can’t take a gas can into a raid and have it turn into found in raid). This would also make PVP more rewarding because now you are incentivized to kill players knowing that you can sell their gear for full price, and any valuables(kcards, gcards, tetzs) that players found are on their body and able to be looted.
3.) get rid of the ability to craft top tier ammo in hideout and make top tier guns/ammo more rare(regards to spawn rates and high level traders).
These changes would lower the prices of ammo and some gear in general on the flea, make acquiring “meta” gear(guns/armor) rarer and or much much more expensive(for longer in the wipe, until the inevitable end-of-the-wipe time comes where everyone runs meta gear), incentivize pvp, cut rmt in half, and add more diversity in loadout choices in each raid.
I would also like to add that when the implementation of armor hit boxes is in the game, ammo prices will drop, and the now “meta” armors will be significantly less powerful because of the chances to hit collarbones, underarms, and such will count as full thorax damage. Ammo such as hollow points and other low pen/high flesh damage ammo will be able to drop people with slicks in 2 shots to the underarm/neck area/collarbone, eliminating the “necessity” to buy m995 or BS ammo every raid, and allowing players to pick up sporting ammo from Jager at level 2 and get a few lucky shots to drop a chad.
Anyways, I’d like to see what u guys think about these ideas, I’ve been thinking about them for awhile and would like some input from other people in the community
Just remove flea market, add dynamic loot spawns and dynamic raider spawns, that'll keep people on their toes. That's a start. Don't agree with the rest of the changes. It would make everyone carry the exact same low tier gear for a long time. People want to kit high grade military gear like m4s and proper military rigs and armor.
Instead of the timed trader level I would personally look at a game such as the division. Using TIER levels to unlock higher trader levels, this will allow you to go in every tier as long as the stashes between tier levels are separated. It also provides some extra meaning for a player as he is working to some point. With the end goal to reach TIER 5 at which it will also unlock Flea market. In such a system, TIER 1 would mean level 1 traders only. Tier 2 player level 10+ plus Trader level 2. Tier 3 player level 20+ plus trader level 3. TIER 4 player level 30+ plus trader level 4. TIER 5 player level 40+ plus trader level 4 plus flea market access. Off course all tiers having their own stashes to avoid carry-over from different tiers. Off course this also means that matchmaking is dependent on the TIER class so that you dont run into TIER 5 as a TIER 2 (for example). @Krashed

everyone wants tarkov to be "hard" again tarkov was probably never actually "hard"
people have extreme outside knowledge and the game has been optimized out the ass (just like vanilla everyone was poor in vanilla now people have hundreds of thousands of gold)
Everyone wants that experience again but the fact is when you have multiple years of knowledge on top of spreadsheets spreading the word about XYZ being objectively better than ABC you cant go back its over the game is figured out i have 1100 hours i know basically everything (obviously not true) about the game the game is a joke and it wasnt bitcoin that made the game easy for me
i survive almost 60% of my raids and regularly go on 6+ raid streaks without being killed
i make a ton of money and i rarely use "meta" shit i think the meta is aids as fuck theres no skill in 995ing a naked with a zero recoil m4
As someone who doesnt have cable internet connection, every time my inernet connection fluctuates i get kicked from the game. Happens about 4 times per raid on average. So Battlestate basicly made it impossible for me to play the game with their anti-high ping disconects…
I just want Dynamic Loot , Raiders Spawning 1-2 Weeks into Wipe , and less accesability to high tear Equipment . I try to take it slow but eventually end up 5 Days into wipe with my stash being filled with lvl 4 and up armor Ulachs and what not and i dont even try to farm anything
I love all of your points except for everybody auto getting trader levels. I personally believe that there should be main quests that you should have to complete to get to the next trader levels, and the other side quests would be auto removed so that people who put more time in the game still get an advantage, but not a very big one.

BSG is already using Wipes as a form of "seasons" where they make a drastic change to see how it affects the game. Like the big Scav change this wipe.
So much content has been added to the game since the flea market was added. They should disable the flea market for 1 wipe and see how the meta and community changes. I personally think it'd be dope.
Your thoughts mirror mine almost to a tee. I've been playing for 4 years, stopped last year.
Dynamic loot is a great idea. The rest, however, are nonsense:
1. Without the flea market, RMT will be rampant. Everyone will hatchet run. Everyone will exit camp. PvP will be non-existent. Gear fear will be the defining motivation behind every player action.
2. Time-gating trader progression will remove the one thing that is already scarce in Tarkov: individual skill. Better players who invest more time in the game should be rewarded more, it's as simple as that.
3. Catering to casual/beginner players is a recipe for disaster, proven by many games that went that way.
4. Raider issue is kind of moot, they drop better loot but are also harder to kill. The Lab already requires an expensive card to enter, perhaps removing them from Reserve will suffice.
I started playing Tarkov since Christmas 2020 and it’s was so fun from lvl 1-15 learning the game/ the guns/ the scavs and pvp aspect. I died so much times but it was so fun learning new things and exploring.
However after lvl 15+ I learned about marked rooms and rare loot spawns and started just rushing those every game to sell for money and buy meta gear, tarkov started feeling different and no longer enjoyable just running same thing every time thus becoming a farm game. so I agree with his point of taking out flea market to eliminate this problem.
BSG don't want the numbers on the servers they're getting these days because it hurts their pockets very badly. So they keep it all going along by milking as many of the new player base & doing as much as humanly possible to fuk off the regulars. They'll never settle on a permanent mode for this game because it's a very badly broken concept game & nothing more. Four+ years in beta is an absolute disgrace to still be encountering these constant issues & if it wasn't for Twitch & certain streamers it wouldn't be half as popular as it is. They put so much garbage into this game that nobody is asking for whilst almost completely ignoring what is being asked for! And it's all aimed at making you want to put it down. These devs absolutely hate & laugh at gamers & have totally jeopardized any potential EFT had by taking it in the direction they have. They bait & tease new expansions, new maps, new bosses, new gear & it all simply contributes further to it being a broken idea that is never going to be properly workable – which is a shame as some of the gun fight mechanics & the immersive environments are gnarly as fuk!
Get rid of all the useless loot, stop the hideout & farming BS. No flea market required & take all the bots out of the game & simply make it round based, Objective based per map or death match. Give everyone full access to all the gear & outfits but make it all one low pen armor & damage so the gunfights play like they do in early wipe & GTF away from all this trader, high pen – low pen, thermals & other useless crap. We want to play a shooter not a fkn black market farming simulator!

Being a "casual", there are some things i kinda agree with. The one thing you have to keep in mind when making a video like this is that Nikita has said time and time again that he DOES NOT WANT CASUAL PLAYERS IN THIS GAME.
This is really good especially they have the test server now so they could implement it in the ETS and open it to the public to try it out if they don't like it then they keep it the way it is and if there is no new content being pushed out or testing of certain weapons on the ETS they then disable the servers so that the people have to play the main game
Krashed everytime you say “it will prolong early and mid game” this is true but WAY more for the casual player than the no lifer. The only people I ever see suggest removing the flea market are streamers and no lifers bc y’all get pissed that everyone reaches endgame faster and you can’t make sick “noob stomping” clips anymore.
Timegating I absolutely agree with, they can create a linear timeline for the game that can coincide with a story where pmc’s slowly start moving in with bigger and better gear and certain areas and bosses become locked off until it matches up with the story, similar to how an MMORPG would work.
