Hey Etho loving the series, Just a suggestion but how about having all the technical buildings be built on the river shore and thats how they get power
An idea for barrel gunpowder: make a pillar and shoot a flame arrow from top, the arrow will pierce through the pillar igniting them all one by one

the gunpowder barrels work similar to irl tnt, tnt is generally used as a heaving charge, earth mover, or cratering charge because it has a relative low brisance compared to other demo charges
